ya gotta do some research. People are willing to help you out but not when a back and forth convo on the forums goes on for 10 posts when really it should have been 3.
Just trying to give a helpful tip so you can get better feedback and answers.. Side note on tire width, was at the NYIAS on saturday and they had a set of the R8 rears on display.. I think they are like 10.5? Just insane haha After seeing the meats, I am self-conscious about my skinny stocks |

The stars are noticeable a little but I actually like it. I got the matte finish so it I it takes a second look for you to realize that they are there and by that time, people are like....that's pretty interesting. I repainted. This time I used a fan brush and red acrylic paint and made an hybrid camoish red wood grain look. I dig it. I might do it to the steering wheel controls. It's black plastidip, the 60% opacity acrylic paint, then clear plastidip over it. http://i.imgur.com/2hn0H6E.jpg |

Heres the thing though, somebody could ask me a question and i could think i know the answer but be mistaken... Thats why i asked what size because people make mistakes, i wanted to gather as much info as possible... But i understand what your saying, 1 min after i asked that question i knew id get blown some **** for it haha. But thanks for being considerate, i appreciate. I guess i have to learn to be alittle more forum savvy haha! |

That wood grain looks awesome that's really impressive that you painted it like that. Reminds me of my moms old outback wagon trim. I want to wrap mine but that piece over the climate controls has me worried. Id need a huge piece of vinyl for it. Same with the little armrest trays on the doors, they look like a bitch to wrap. Maybe I'll do that dip idea you had, I can't ever get it to look as smooth as paint though. |

The trick I have for smooth plastidip is heating the can with a hair dryer first. It's not the safest but it dries faster and is always smoother. |

Looking at a set of 2012 WRX struts with Tein S springs for $300. 32k miles on the struts and 10k on the springs. Good deal, bad deal, or no deal? Just looking for a little drop and better handling.

I've always heard Tein springs were garbage. Get the struts by themselves for cheaper and get some Koni inserts

I know from reading that an 8" wheel is supposed to be like a 43 to 47 offset but i found a decent priced set of 2011 wrx oem rims and they are 8" with a 53... I should be fine right? What size tire would you guys recommend? I was thinking 225/45/17, or do i need 235/45/17 ?

Keep in mind you want to get tires diameter as close as to OEM. Use http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator to find out... |

225/40/18 for "Stance" but that's a bit of stretch and you'll need to be slammed. I'm going 235/40 and trying to have the least amount of camber possible with the help of my modified fenders and rear Cusco LCAs. |

I am having trouble finding faq on the comparison of STI OEM exhaust being put on 2.5i's. Anyone have some insight? And yes, I checked the sticky.
Specifics: 2011 OEM STI dual Sedan catback. Putting on 08 2.5i. Known so far: I don't want bigger than 2.5 inch diameter. The WRX catbacks for 08+ have easy fitment on the 2.5i (I'd get one of these if there were any up for sale right now). The 08+ STI catback can be put on the WRX. Biggest question --> sizing of the midpipe and the alignment of the flanges. Note: I plan on getting UEL in the future, I know thats the big thing. I just want a small change now in addition to the quad tip for a cheap buck. Thanks, appreciate the help. |

Yes, 08-10 is more rounded than the 11+. Google image search and you'll see

So how well would 15x7 wheels with a 41mm offset fit on the cars and a 17x8 with an offset of 42?
