Whats wrong with the 04 seats? Mine are comfortable enough to drive across South Dakota and back no complaints. Or are you talking STi seats?

Don't forget 06 WRX TR seats... Those suck, and I'm going on yet another road trip tomorrow to my permanent home: San Diego. I get to join the fine folks of SCIC!

last Sunday, I handed my keys to my brother who has not driven my 6 month old car yet.
I rode shotgun with him. I told him to hold it at 3500 rpm on second gear and shift at 5k to 3rd. everytime he shifts, i hear him whispering to himself "oh $hit, oh $hit".
this really made my Sunday afternoon.

(pointing to the new impreza sedans) i tell him "noo papa, those are the subaru impreza's!" so he says "oh its a newer version of your car! well f*** that i dont want a P.O.S like your car! ill stick with a REAL car like the 2010 camry!"

Point of your story is that your grandpa likes a Camry? Weird, I've never seen an old person drive one of those...

Yeah... our seniors tend to stick with the Big Three. But another stereotype to seniors is once they set their mind on something that is how it is. So if gramps drives a Camry... EVERYTHING else is a pos.

It's a repeat, but today when a friend saw my car for the first time I got the "So is it a WRX or STi?"
"WRX, they didn't bring the STi to the states until the MY 2004 cars"
"So it's not turbo'd huh?"
"Yeah, it's turbo. All WRX's are turbo from the factory"
"Not all of them, right? I thought there were some not turbo"
"Those are Imprezas"

Sigh.

My girlfriend at the time told a coworker that I bought a 2010 wrx. He says "that's a bad idea, the only good Subaru is the all wheel drive kind"

I'm just amazed that people even REMEMBER those commercials, yet lose their cars in mall parking lots.

I bet the majority of the state of Florida (seniors) were in a panic when GM dropped the Oldsmobile line!

Thats why its called Marketing. Find a way to keep Product in the mind of a consumer who forgets where they parked their car 10mins prior.
