Default Sully's 2012 DGM WRX does Yosemite

Hey everyone,
Last weekend I went on a snowboarding trip to Mammoth. The snow was absolutely terrible so I decided to take a drive through Yosemite. The opportunity to snap some pics presented itself so I took out the good old iPhone and took a few.
She's REALLY dirty from a few laps on a dirt road that I discovered earlier that day and the pics are far from professional; just thought some of you might enjoy these.
Oh, and this is my first thread, got the car a few months ago, absolutely in love with it.

Nice! I have pretty much the same setup with the cross bars, yakima racks and the tinted windows. Only difference is mine is a 2011.

Thanks! Yeah, I love the simplicity of the racks, super easy to put on/take off. I had a bit of an ordeal with a set of aftermarket racks that came off the car on the freeway! So I just decided to go the costly, reliable route. Already got pulled over for the tint on the way home from this same trip. Cop let me go with nothing but a "have a safe trip home," pretty cool of him.

I've got the same set up too except for I just pop a cargo bin up there for my snowboards and gear.

What percent tint is that? I had 20% on my last WRX and never got hassled by the cops, but was thinking of playing it safe and going lighter with my new one.

Nice, I will probably get a cargo bin when I stop snowboarding and start camping again. Well the back windows are 5% and the front two are 15%. It's pretty dark haha. I usually roll my windows down when I see cops, but this one was hidin'! He also said I rolled a stop sign, but I'm pretty sure I didn't, and he also said I didn't have a front license plate... but as you can see in the pictures, I most definitely do... So IDK how much credibility I give the guy, but anyone that doesn't ding me for tint they know is there is alright in my book.

Update: Heading home from mammoth again and got pulled over. This time ticketed for the tint. I'm just gonna take the front off and leave it off, too stressful.

Where I am at, they have a meter that sits on your window to calculate % visibility. I got ticketed on my last subie when I had 15% all around but this time I got 35% in front and 20% in rear and back so I wouldn't have to deal with these stupid tickets.

Nice! Don't mean to thread jack but here are a few of my own Yosemite pics. That was a good drive, apart from the traffic since it was in July.

With a sexy subie like that, you can hack my thread any day. Love the white wrx's. Let me know next time you go on a cruise like that! Might just be up there. When I went was perfect. Mellow traffic, lots of passing opportunities. And about the tint, I think I might Keep my back windows limo and just do 35 up front. But I'm planning on modding a lot. Might just keep them untinted. One less reason to pull me over

Nice cars! I'm waiting on my 2013 DGM WRX. Can't wait to get it. I think I'll have to tint the windows now.
