Aftermarket USDM Headlights
Hi,
I want to put in some reflector. I need some help: Can someone please make a closed up photo of the red part or can anyone tell, if there are holes, where the green spots are? Thanks a lot

Yes those are holes. All USDM headlights have reflectors there.

Ok, so I need to drill holes in my headlights, or remove the clips on the reflector.

Are you sure, that looks like a reflection of something behind the camera... that side reflector has been removed.

I don't see why you would want to add them, everything here tries to take them out. Either way, I think it would be easiest to source reflectors then just go off that, because I believe it makes a rectangular shape. I'll snap a photo of mine today for you. |

do not drill into your headlights!! you need to search for "clearing corners how-to" - which shows how you:
-remove headlamps from car -bring into workshop: unscrew the mini screws in the back of the lamps -bake in oven for 3 minutes to loosen headlight adhesive - separate the two halves of the headlamp assembly (careful- it will be hot!) - now you have three parts: the back, the front and the middle - add reflector in middle "shroud" piece make sense? |

(Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic.) There's my passenger side. I have one of the drivers as well if you need it. Anyways, that's what I meant by it was kind of a square. I think it would be a lot easier to just get the reflector, and cut off the tab then use tape or glue to mount it. Quote:
Either way he's going about it right, (at least I don't think) he was planning on drilling the outside of the headlight, but opening them and making the mounting point to add the side reflector. |

I shure you could find some one in the USA that you could buy there reflectors from.
Seeing how so many people remove them here. |

I have the reflectors already.
I meant to drill the holes, that are shown in your picture, not in the glas I want to blacken them, too. Thanks for the pic. I guess, glue would be the easiest. |

I guess it would be unique, and if you want unique, you should swap fog lights with me. |
