Default Need Help For Raw Fuel Smell in Cabin

I've looked around and saw that there's quite a few complaints about Raw Fuel Smell in the Cabin when it's cold for Subarus. I have an '02 with just shy of 95k miles and have been getting this smell pretty bad, to the point that I've start to feel sick while driving. Now, in my searching it seems that Subaru knows of this problem and that in some cases they take care of the problem without asking you to pay, and in others they expect you to pay for it. Anyone in the Charlotte or Greensboro area know if I can get this problem fixed without having to dig in my pocket?

there is a 100000000000page thread about this in the Warranty Issues & SOA Problems section... but the fix is VERY simple

you need a long phillips head screw driver and about 10 min of free time.

look on the pass side fuel rail under the intake mani.

you will see a small 3inch long rubber connector on the fuel rails... the hose clamps that are on them get loose as time goes on and leak when it gets cold and the rubber contracts. tighten the clamps and you are golden.

its that easy.

I just move my vent switch to recirculate. Seems to work for me.

yeah, I saw the warrenty thread, bu it still seems that some people are having issues with customer services at various dealerships etc. I just wanted to check and see if anyone had this issue and if they got it resolved in or around Greensboro or Charlotte.
