adding subwoofer
https://www.parts-express.com/BOSS-B...066?quantity=1
Dimensions: 13.5" (L) x 10.6 (W) x 3.03" (H) That should fit nicely under the seat, right? Also, how would I add power? I already have an amp behind the head unit. (Soundstream ST4.500D https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...-ST4.500D.html ) Could I simply add it in serial? Or does it have to be in parallel?

you will need to do some math to make sure you have the proper fuse at the battery after adding the sub to the power circuit. We don't know what size power wire you are currently running to your amp so it is not possible to say yes or no. Is it 8awg? 4awg? 2awg? It is possible to use a distribution block (can be fused or un-fused) before the amp, but how much room are you able to work with and will it (distribution block) be secured/mounted to something rigid and not move? After the distro-block, you want to try and keep the power wire runs as short as possible w/o too much excess power wire after the block. The one thing I have learned with all of my car audio things is not to cut corners, especially on the power/ground side. Give yourself extra "operating room" on wire size. This is where the additional math comes into play to ensure you aren't undersized. |
