Default can a 100W power inverter damage the alternator

so I've had for about 2 months this power inverter, I only use it for my mp3 player, so a low power consumption device, now in the past couple of week the battery/ebrake/abs lights came on a few times for a minute or so, then went off.

I tested the battery and alternator with a dmm, under load , but everything seems to be ok. I know the alternator might be on its way. is it possible that it has been damaged by the power inverter?

I doubt that it caused a problem with the alternator. If you haven't changed the alternator out within the last 5 years I would say it is just due to normal wear.

I changed it 1 and a half year ago. and it was not those cheapo ones. I got it from a small local rebuilder. I just tested it again under load and the battery was steady at 14.5v.

could it be something else? I didn't see any lose wire.

You will need to test it while the trouble is occuring. It is intermittent. It may be the brushes inside that are having trouble.
