In the vendor classified section there was a thread about possibly getting some tail lights with the lamp intergrated but I don't think anything ever got past the discussion phase. I like the idea too, as long as people remember to turn them off during good weather that is. Do a search in that section, to see what went on.

Peaty is right, the discussion never got to far, bummer cause I wanted one too. My dads Volvo has one, and I put one in my 96 Jetta to. BIG safety feature in nasty weather.

i'm pretty sure pam (wrxgirl) had some for sale. They looked just like stock.

my personal opinion, it makes it look like something is broken on the car when they have them on. kinda pointless, i've always felt.

Thumbs down

Most drivers can't even figure out when they need their FRONT fog lights on, much less the rears. I've driven behind Saabs and Volvos running rear fog lights on a clear night and it's pretty annoying--those lights are bright.

Yes, UK rear lamp clusters will have a foglight in them (it's law). Most cars generally have the foglight on one side only - on the right, in the UK's case.

Hey Jon-
Actually I find that EVERYONE has their fog lights on all the time. They find it once and leave them on. Jeez, they aren't driving lights people! Unless there is heavy precipitation or fog, leave the things off. Yes, that little button there sir. Yes that bight light on your instrument panel ma'am, means your fog lights are on...

Department of safety once did a study and found that there is 15% less chance of accidents during the day if you have your lights on. Ever since that study, car manufacturers have been making the day-time running lights on their cars.

I personally don't like these myself.

Talking

Yeah, most Honda's I see have daytime running FOG lights.

My Audi has a nice feature--the front/rear fogs reset when the car is turned off, so you have to consciously turn them on every time. Smart!
