That looks amazing. Would any welding or cutting have to be done for that to be bolted on? By the way, you should do a post cataloging your installation of the SPT exhaust. I'm sure after hearing that a bunch of us are going to want to do the exact same thing.

A question for a few of you who have done this. My next upgrade will be a shift knob (lathewerks, screw it and go for the gold right?), but after that I was debating a mesh grille or strut tower stiffener. I've heard that it improves steering feel and stability into corners, but a few people have mentioned that it really doesn't do anything on this car since the strut towers are so close to the firewall. Would I really notice any difference with the cusco unit over none? I drive aggressively but no autocross or anything like that so I don't know if I should care?

Where do you reckon one would even be able to buy the BRZ exhaust?? it sounds awesome I'd love to just have it instead of some custom made exhaust. Btw I live in australia so it would have to be that handy

Looks great! I personally would like a nicer rumble with a more discreet look of the stock 5 door exhaust...

This. Maybe by the time the muffler is worn out there will be something.

On a side note, do mufflers even wear out anymore? I put an exhaust on my Buick off a Pontiac that had 4,000 miles on it, 170,000 miles later it is still going strong..

why install that? it's not going to be that big of a difference in sound. it just means that an aftermarket exhaust for the brz/fr-s/ft-86 will fit ours cars

It's for looks.

On my hatch you cannot see the exhaust unless you get lower than the bumper.

Adding a visible dual exhaust lets you impress others who don't realize you are driving a 2 liter, na, non-sports car.

I would rather do a muffler delete than add more parts that rust out and need replacement, but that is me.

Nevermind thats a resonator.

Would the BRZ exhaust tips fit with the Impreza bumper?

I think our exhaust is warrantied for 10/100,000 now if I am not mistaken. That is big especially if I have to replace a catalytic converter out here in the salt states...

There's a lot of potential for BRZ/Impreza exhaust. Underneath the 5-door Impreza, there are 4 hangers. The Stock exhaust only uses 3 of them for whatever reason. The BRZ/FRS Exhaust lines up PERFECTLY with these 4 hangers.

Wow. So my idea of the BRZ axleback was actually promising. haha

Personally, I don't really want my car "loud", I just want it to be a hair loudER than stock. And adding the dual tip set-up would be nice because it would give it the WRX style..

I have a buddy with a BRZ.. Once he gets an exhaust, I'll see what I can do..

So no modifications to fit?

If you're using stock midpipe then some modication might be needed. The brz muffler inlet seems to be at a diff angle than stock

So what we're agreeing on is that of you use the BRZ mid also, this directly bolts up? Would the BRZ mid need any modification to fit?

I think I'm still just going with the Moore axleback. Trying to have this be all direct bolt on. lol

Lol yeah what happened to that group buy they were planning on doing? And brz mid to muffler should be perfect cause they're meant to bolt up. It's the other end of the mid pipe that Im unsure if it fits

haha I'll text him up. And the muffler info is the same as on earlier pages of this thread. It's a stock style single outlet with aftermarket muffler that is direct bolt on. I know at least one member is already running it. Supposed to sound "perfect" for a daily..? And it's 400 installed. Not sure about the group buy or shipped price..

Looking for help with the center console. I was searching Subaru genuine parts for part of the console and it appears I have to buy the whole **** and kaboodle. But I could be wrong.

Anyone here taken the console apart? Does that top piece that surrounds the cup holders an butts to the shifter area come off the sides like the older imprezas? I dont want to drop $70 to change the color of one plastic part.

Also, im wondering if previous gen console parts fit. They look quite similar.

I have the ivory interior but clearly this part shoukd have been black with this interior.

Also open to swaps. Want to make a quick $20? Swap this piece with me.
