I drove a subaru for the first time last month.

Too bad it was a POS RS with not a single undented body panel, and I fell out of my seat on a corner since it wasn't bolted down

Best thing is passing the POS purchase to my brother and inheriting my mom's passat. WOOT, after 4 years of headaches I have been saved.

I do love subarus, just hated mine.

We've had no problems in the almost 9 years of owning it. Plus I know people who are enthusiasts who are friends with my bf. I'm good to go . Has more pep, better gas mileage (minus shelling out more cash for premium), and it actually has a headliner, working cd player, clean carpet, leather seats, doesn't shake uncontrollably, and most importantly it ALWAYS starts up. I call that a major upgrade lol.

I know vw's are a piece of work but nothing tops the money pit I had before. Paid 6k for it and dumped another 6k+ on it

Ouch. Those 1.8ts can be made really peppy, too.

About a month ago while i was at a family christmas party about 2 hours from my house i locked my keys in my car at a gas station. My plan was to go get gas in the middle of the downtime at the party so when i left i wouldnt have to stop while following my sister home. The gas station was bout 15 minutes from the party and my phone was locked in my car so i was literally trapped in the middle of nowhere. About 5 minutes went by of me trying to figure out what to do and a 2006 silver rex pulls up to get gas. He saw me pacing around my car and my jersey plates and came over and asked if i needed help. He offered to let me use his phone but i had no idea what anyones number was at the house since i didnt have my own phone. He then offered to drive me all the way back to the family party so i could tell everyone why i had gone missing and waited with me by the car for the cops to come open the door.

i love this car and i love the community.

ps. he had no idea what nasioc even was

I got laid because the girl really liked my subaru......she filled it up bought me food and then we went to my place and did the dirty.....it was nice.....she still wants me to let her drive it....(not going to happen)

nicest thing i did because i drive a subaru was pulled over on the side of the road when i saw a downed subie and asked if i could help. Turns out he blew off a coupler and didn't have any tools. Well i had my trusty tool kit and got him up and running. Was very thankful guy. Not sure if he posts here. But i do love our community

That parking lot attendant Ferris Buellered your car while you were in the park...

One person at a drive-thru commented on the funky windows I have...

Can't say anything else "good" has happened to me.

Best thing that happened to me was finding local guys to hang with that have moved from being "hey, you have a car like me, lets be cordial" to hanging out 1-2 times (or more) a week on a deeper than simple car level.

I got to upstate NY from Gaffney, South carolina in 15 hours through a Noreaster after visiting my GF at her old school. I had a body kit made of ice--USDM ice body kit ftw.

I took my GF for a few runs at an autocross, when we got home, she jumped me.
