Im 30 and have an 04 wagon stg 2 with some suspension mods and some other visual goodies. I get teased for having a sports "wagon", or a car thats blue, or something that isn't "professional" but I really don't give a ****.

By my name, I'm a jobbing percussionist and a teacher that wanted the practicality of transporting gear with all the things I love about a Subaru (and I like having power under my foot). I take solace in knowing that I am sticking with what I like and not conforming to what society "thinks" I should drive. You wont see me caught in a silver Honda Civic.

Like Vince F said above: Age is but a number.

36, wife, 2 kids (2 and 4) I bought a 2003 WRX Wagon 4eat (actually the wifes car) new in 2003. I bought my 06 Sti in 2006 new as well. The wagon has Eibachs and KYB GR2's but other than that is stock.

I traded my 99 Mercedes Benz clk320 that had ECU work and fully adjustable suspension on H&R springs with Bilstein sport shocks for my STi when we had our son. The car handled great and the way it rebounded and just sat there without being bouncy at all was great. I don't miss that car at all when I drive my STi.

My 06 Sti was stage 2 w/catted APS 3 inch and protuned by Tim Bailey for about 17,000 of my 37,000 miles. 313 torque, 276 hp on Epics (then H&H's) mustang dyno.

Now my sti is sitting in the garage with all of the following installed and ready to be tuned as soon as I get a map to drive to the tune. Hoping for about 360-370 on a mustang dyno.

Dom 2.5 xtr
1000cc ID injectors

turned 30 this year, car's appearance is bone stock except for a couple gauges. Might do the koji headlight mod soon, if I do anything else to the exterior right now it will be a paint job

Love of cars is not age specific. Build it how you want. I'm 36 and I've got a mostly stock looking bugeye except for the following underneath:

Stromung Catback
v7 JDM STI Pink springs
Tokico D-spec struts
EBC Redstuff pads
Perrin intercooler y-pipe
Gutted factory uppipe
Moda R3 17" wheels
Goodyear GT All-Seasons
20% tint
Momo shift knob
Momo leather shift boot
Kenwood Excelon single disc
Polk Db's in the doors.
Mobil 1 10W40 high mileage
Self built hybrid motor

Make it your own and offer no apologies

38 with '05 STi, 3 kids, stage eleventy billion.

Full Cosworth motor
Bilstein coilovers
Seibon hood/trunk
Nitto NT01's
Greddy cat-back
GT35r/front mount/ etc.
Couple of stickers to promote my friend's shops that do all my work

520 hp on E85, and 30-50% daily driver. Sometimes I feel a little boy-racer-ish in it, but when I mash the accelerator, I smile too big to care what other people think. Plus, there's nothing cooler than running a track-day with a car-seat in the back. LOTS of good comments from Porsche owners on that one!

I'm 35, but I stopped caring what other people thought when I was like 20 something.

Enjoy what you enjoy, most people are idiotic sheep that have no clue what an STi or WRX is or can do.

But they sure can enjoy a nice view of the tail lights when I stomp all over their boring suburban land yaht in the rain, snow, or sun.

Just turned 30 on Nov 21st! Even got my first born on the way

I def see how my choices for car mods have matured since I was in my early 20's. Also, I'm glad I have this car now and not when I was a teenager, prob would have killed myself!!!

now back on topic...

37 sold my 335i and bought another STI (2007 Limited)

Owned it a week before the mods started flooding the doorstep
1 month later Stage 2 with some suspension goodies.

Owned my Stage 4 05 STI when I was in my thirties as well.

Bought my first 2003 bugeye WRX when I turned 30.

I really like these ricer cars. I used to build mustangs, but the damn subi's just do everything so well, it was hard not to love them.

They are not really the "Best" at anything on tarmac, but they are damn good at everything.

To date here are my high level thoughts on them:
Bugeye = Most livable (probably because it was a wrx not an STI, but whatever)
Bobbleeye = Most brutal
Hawkeye = Somewhere in between

Gen 1

Gen 2

Gen 3

Turning 40 in April, and should be picking up my 2011 SWP sedan this week! My first Subie, but have owned all kinds of cars. I'm really looking forward to this one. In June I should be picking up my 2011 Ducati 848 EVO as well, so I'll have no lack of go fast fun at my fingertips.
