I think what people were missing was that you can record during a run and then play it back when you're stopped. He's not looking at it while he's driving, he's checking it after the fact to see if there were any problems during the run.

My WB02 is set up for logging. When I will be needing to be look at it I will be strapped to a dyno. And it's not pointless, it is a clean install. I dislike having A-pillar pods, and I already have a SMY cluster that has 2-gauges.

And hence why I said almost. Your purpose is a mostly sensible one, a boost gauge would not be however. The purpose of gauges is to monitor and let you know of any abnormal conditions, right?

Why is everyone arguing the placement of a gauge? I posted to show a install I did. I get that some people don't like it but let's put it to rest.

Frankly I think you did a damn clean job on the install. Nice gauge to boot.

- creating DIY passive anti-photo-enforcement measures
- flummox speed and red light cameras with subtly blurred numbers and tags

WHEN
- this wk I received a bunch of different license plate frames, each purporting to elude photo-radar and RLCs.

WHERE: rapid city, SD

WHY
- since I got new City plates, I'm paying through the nose in photo enforced tickets (speed cameras and RLC)
- the light timing and image capture strategies favor the private company contracted to collect this revenue

HOW
- removed plates from car, brought inside to do photo comparisons
- put each cover to the test by loading plate, taking flash photos in various lights

Results:
- it turns out plate covers of any kind are illegal in my area - and any kind (even clear) is grounds to be pulled over
- the three clear plate covers i ordered were all super tacky, bulky, obvious and useless
- attempts to use a laptop privacy screen failed due to extra tinting, the privacy screen is obvious on plate

Experimental method:
- use plate's reflectivity against it
- overspray plate with Reflective effect paint

Why not just incorporate the radiator mounts into the shield? It would have looked much cleaner than the stock mounts bolted on top like you have it now...

I saw your 'my car is a logging car post' but again, A/F gauge and boost are the two I'd want to be able to monitor at ALL times. Oil tem/pressure, VOLT, EGT, ANYTHING other than Boost & AF would make more sense down there.

But hey, you're car

And that is why everyone is allowed to have an opinion. I disagree, so we can move forward with the custom modifications.

So much drama over nothing. It's a nice install regardless which is the point.

Right on. I didn't mean to sound rude before. Your work looks good and so often you get new ideas for version 2 while in the middle of version 1.

It forces the air that goes over the top of the radiator through is therefore increasing the effectiveness of it. Albiet, it's a small gain and more for aesthetic value more than anything
