Default OT CD Swap Round 5: Reviews

Post Them Here:
Got mine the other day from Cobreth, have listened to it a few times and will write my review. I was super stoked looking over the track listing. All were artists I had heard of before but never really explored. On with the reactions.

1 - The Anniversary - Sweet Marie: Good song with a cool piano tune going in the back ground. Reminds me kinda of someone but I cant put my finger on it. Modern rock with a good drummer plying in the background. I like it.

2 - Jack Johnson - Taylor: I like Jack Johnson alot. I have heard alot of him and have a buttload of MP3's on my comp but I never listen to them. This song is AWESOME. His mellow voice runs together but has a poignet quallity that I can only relate to the way a pop'n'lock dancer remains fluid while dancing. Good mellow track for driving.

3 - The Postal Service - Such Great Heights: Ah, this is my forte. Emo Music. Many argue that Postal Service is not emo, listen to the lyrics. That and its all in a minor key. AKA emo key. The band got its name when the demo was written by all the members by mailing different samples through the mail. Anyway, its odd hearing it the first time, a combination of the sounds of Moby, the singer of Coldplay, and the lyrics of bands like Fall Out Boy and/or Death Cab For Cutie. Liked this song alot.

4 - The Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You: OK, I was in a crappy mood when I first heard the CD and then this song came on. And I was like "*** is this?" Then the gitar riff cam in and it immediatly brought a smile to my face. I couldnt help but bob my head back and forth and start singing along, even though I didnt know the lyrics. I have heard this song all over the place but never heard the full version until now. I know its cheating, but I listened to this song twice the first time I had the cd in.

5 - Ben Kweller - Wasted and Ready: I dont know if it was just the high I was comming off of after listening to the last track, but this song just made me kinda sad. Its a good song, but the heavily distorted guitars remind me of The Anniversary but with early Smashing Pumpkins tossed in at parts. A good song, but I only liked it the 2nd and 3rd times I heard it.

6 - American Minor - Southern Belle: I liked the song someone else posted by these guys and I like this as well. Sounds kinda like a throwback to the southern rock of the 70's. Bluesy sound with great vocals. My dad even likes this song. Cobreth, or anyone with mp3's hit me up on AIM. I WANT THEM!

7 - Blur - Coffee and TV: Loved Blur all the way back from Song 2 and although this is definatly a different Blur than the the one I knew back then, I still love it. I remember seeing the video for this song on MTV, It had the little lost milk carton. It was awesome. Another good song with a catchy hook good for long drives.

8 - American Analog Set - Punk As ****: Wasnt too stoked on this track. Dont really know what it was either. Just seemed repetitive and wasnt what I had imagined it from the name. Might grow on me. Still waiting.

9 - Spoon - Jonathon Fisk: The opening notes had me hooked. Once again a straight up rock track. Like this guys voice. Seems like a Bunch of other British acts Ive heard. But theres something there with this guy. Looked up the lyrics and they are really weel written and meaningful. "Religion dont mean a thing, just another way to be right wing". Awesome.

10 - Shins - New Slang: Mellow, sounds folky. Decent I guess. Sounds like some of the other stuff Ive heard. Its good, just at the end of the CD, it didnt have anything that got up and did it for me. It was "just another song". If it was the first song on here, I would have liked it more.

All in all, a good mix. It gets a spot in my cd binder.

Such Great Heights is getting a lot of airplay on BOTH alt-rock stations here at the moment...I like that song A LOT.

And Coffee & Tea has a great video, with a milk carton walking around a city looking for someone/something on the "have you seen me?" side of himself or something like that.

That CD sounds pretty damn good...

Yea, the cd is a really good mix. Most of the stuff sits on the fringe of what I normally listen to so it's gonna be a good cd to pop in when I need somthing different.

Thanks Matt (Randall )

I'm glad you liked #3, I almost didn't put it on there.

I've got 9 American Minor MP3s and I just saw them last weekend in concert. Rumor has it that an employee of Jive records was at the show, so hopefully they'll get a CD out now. I'll FTP them in a little bit and PM you the link since my school has me on a firewall.

I haven't had a chance to listen to your CD. I'm all study, study, study right now.

Got my CD today from BHodges3. Listened to it 3 times.

1. Tao of the Machine - BT

Overall a good track. High energy, good beat. Great choice for an opening track. Tends to get a bit repetitive after the 2 minute mark. Thumbs Up

2. If I Were Gay - Stephen Lynch

Pretty funny song. His musical skills leave a bit to be desired. Not something I would listen to.. I prefer my comedy without music.
Thumbs Down

3: Simon Says - Drain S.T.H

Great song. Heavy with excellent melody and variation.Thumbs Up

4. Frail - Jars of Clay

Nice and mellow. Very calming. Maybe time to give Jars of Clay a second chance?Thumbs Up

5. My Plague - Slipknot

Makes me wanna kick people in the face. What can I say? I love Slipknot!Thumbs Up

6. Funkadelic - The Sunshine Revival Band

FUNKAY! Everyone needs a little funk in their lives. Thumbs Up

7. Breaking Me Down - Soil

Never listened to Soil before. This song made a good first impression on me. May explore them further. Thumbs Up

8. Colorblind - Counting Crows

My wife loves these guys. I however do not. Adam Duritz voice is not pleasing to my ears. Thumbs Down

9. King of My World - Saliva

Decent song overall. Don't care much for the chorus harmonies. Sounds very "new metal".Thumbs Down

10. Volcano Girls - Veruca Salt

Awesome! I've been a Veruca Salt fan for years. Excellent song, excellent band.Thumbs Up

Overall Composition = 8
Good variety, nothing awful
Track Quality = 7
With the exception of 1 track (live) all had decent sound quality.
Replay Value = 2
Only a couple tracks on this that were "new" to me.
May download them individually.
Layout = 4 Very poor track order, little to no time spent on this.
Tracks do not flow together well.

Overall Rating 7.5
Could be worse, could be better.

ok...so still no sticky

compilation by X-factor

1. Baz Luhrman-Sunscreen song
I'm not a fan of this, primarily because it's mostly just a commencement speach with music in the background.

2. Barry White-Can't get Enough of Your Love
Of course it's good....it's BARRY

3. Tom Jones-Green Green Grass of Home
This song reminds me of the old spiritual/christian music that grandparents used to listen to...I still can't get him humping on stage out of my head though...heh

4. Randy Newman-I love L.A.
Gotta love this song...Mr. Cali himself sent it to me. I loves Randy's mellow voice too

5. E.S. posthumous-Nara
This is probably my favorite...this song has the ability to stir you inside. I've heard it on so many movie trailers/soundtracks and never knew what it was

6. Beck-Lost Cause
Very mellow and kinda sad tune about giving up on a relationship. I liked it.

7. Blues Traveler-Hook
I really like blues music and have always loved the catchy harmonica and his smooth voice

8. Delerium F/Sarah McLachlan-Silence
I used to have this song, but have never heard this mix. It's a cool and more rhythmic version. I love Sarah too so it's always good...

9. Leanne Womack-I really like this song, it gives a message of hope. One of my friends played it at her husbands funeral.

10. Nina Gordon-Tonight and the Rest of My Life
I liked this song...a little Pop mix, it reminds me of something Madonna would have done in her earlier years.

11. Kid Rock/Sheryl Crow-Picture
I don't care for either of the artists or this song...'nuff said

12. Starsailor-Tie up My Hands
I liked this, kinda ethereal and mellow

13. The Roots/Erykah Badu-I've heard this song a few times and liked it. A little rap with a feminine voice.

14. Radiohead-Let Down
I've never heard this song...I did expect at least one track to have them since this has been mentioned in a few posts by x-factor. Very dreamy, calming and nice on the ears...

15. Sixpence None the Richer-Don't Dream It's Over
I've always loved this song..I hadn't heard this version before and it's alright...I saw Crowded House do this live a loooooong time ago so I would have to say this cover isn't close...

Thanks X-factor for a wonderfully mellow mix!

Round 5 Review.
Received from Sharkbait.
"Andrea's Cape Town to North Carolina Mix"

18 songs. I picked 10 to review. The 10 I picked stood out the most to me. The other 8 I felt neither good nor bad, but didn't evoke much from me at all. I listed them by track order.

Before I get into the songs, I want to take a minute to say that the paper work that came with this CD by far blows any previous round out of the water. Next to each song description, she included a picture of the album cover. Title, band, and a paragraph about why that song was included. Awesome work Andrea. Not to offend any previous partners, but... This by far is the best CD I have gotten so far.

The tracks:

Track 1 - Sometimes Wanna Die - Joy Drop.
Thumbs up. Thumbs up. Thumbs up. This got my head nodding. What a wonderful voice she has. Timeless song... Great opening. Set am awesome tone for the rest of the CD.

Track 2 - Angelina. Louis Prima.
Also 3 Thumbs up. This is the fun in doing an exchange... you never expect to get a song like this! For those like me who have never heard, think of it as a really fun version of the Italian classic "That's Amore". It's an infectious song that makes you want to dance in your socks on a hardwood floor and through glasses into the fireplace. I so never saw a song like this coming. Great imagination.

Track 4 - Bedroom Dancing. Day One.
(Andrea, you mentioned an emotion this song provokes.... yea. Me too!!)
I never got into British elctro music, but this is almost a new favorite song. With out a doubt the highlight of the CD for me. Simple in and out type beat. The song is so smooth, so sexy, so wonderful, did I mention sexy? Sexy as hell.

Track 9 - You and Me Baby. Kristy Maccoll.
Lullaby. There is so much heart and feeling in this song I can't imagine. I feel a lot of emotion coming from her. Great song. Good middle... lines up the last 1/2 of the CD quite well. Thumbs up.

Track 10 - When You Come Back. Vusi Mhlasela.
You included this song to introduce me to a music that I already love. My collection needs to include more South African music. It's alive. It's a life of it's own. Celebration. You hear the influence it has over Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel. I almost included Biko on your disk, one of my favorite Gabriel songs. Thank you... I will be looking for more of this style music, and i intend to start with Vusi. 3 Thumbs up.

Track 12 - Broken Up a Ding Dong - The Beta Band.
Fun song. Your right... can't understand a word. Don't have to. The emotion and the rhythm say enough about it. I can't elaborate on what make me like this song, but I do. Good choice. Thumbs up.

Track 13 - Talk Show Host - RadioHead.
As soon as this song started I expected to hear Leonardo DeCaprio start in Shakespeare about his lost love. I have the music - only version some where in my collection. I never knew the anger behind the song, the pent up rage in the words. Thumbs up.

Track 18 - The Band Played Waltzing Matilda - The Pogues.
Working in an Irish Pub, I listen to folk music every weekend. I have come to like this style of music and understand it's importance in all of our history. The message of this song transcends generations. Two thumbs up.

Now... songs that got my attention that I didn't care for...

Track 3 - First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Alison Moyet.
Meh. Didn't like it the first time, and not in the cover version. I give credit to the power of her voice, but I couldn't come to grips with the song she was singing. I vote even just because her voice is wonderful.

Track 16 - 1963. New Order.
This song epitomizes British techno pop babble. Blech. I can't, I just can't, succumb to this music. I feel it's whiny and soft, with no progression and no evolution. Mad Thumbs Down.

It is. Proper ettiquette would be punching Fishguy in the nuts, then stealing his computer with moderator enhanced cookies and then proceeding to sticky it yourself.

My review of obyone's Nasioc Audio eXchange....

Let me preface this review by acknowledging obyone's presentation with this mix. He made a little cd cover thingy and the titles were nicely printed out(unlike some people). Thanks.

1. The Cure - World in my Eyes: Never was a fan of The Cure. This song sounds like something they'd play in a movie trailer. It almost sounded like a remix but I don't know. Not bad though.

2. New Order - Someone Like You: I've been interested in New Order after seeing 24 hour party people. The only song of theirs' that I liked before, was Blue Monday by way of Orgy's cover. This is a nice mellow tune that I can listen to for awhile.

3. Erasure - Ebb Tide: Another group I know of, but don't really know. Listening to this made me feel like I was hanging out at the "pleasure chest". Not sure what to make of it.

4. Erasure - Always (Trance Remix: Another song of theirs...hmmm. I guess I just don't like this band very much. I kept thinking while listening to this that it was a Celine Dion dance mix or something. Not my cup of tea.

5. Joy Machine - Seperate Ways: Never heard of these people and it wouldn't have killed me if I never did. Overly repetitive beat and annoying/whiney singer.

6. Pet Shop Boys - Always on my Mind (Disco Version): Now if I'm going to listen to the "ghey euro disco" make it this.

7. Timmy T - Time After Time: I don't know of the artist but I was expecting a cover of the Cyndi Lauper song. Needless to say it isn't. Not exactly bad but in comparison, there is none.

8. Law - Remember the Times: Sounds like something they would play at the end of some cheesy 80's movie. Not bad though.

9. Prototype - Come Back to me: This sounds like an 80's dance mix but I don't think it is. I liked this one

10. Juanes - La Paja: I enjoy spanish music although most of it sounds the same to me (especially salsa style) but in a good way. This is probably my favorite song on the cd even though I didn't understand a word.

11. Mana - Dejame Entrar: I liked this one too. A sort of funky spanish tune.

13. Moenia - No Dices Mas (Fase Mix): A nice, catchy spanish dance flavor.

17. Monchy & Alexandria - Te Quiero Igual o Mas Que Ayer: Me encanta. A slow spanish lovesong. At least that's what I got from it.

The other songs included that I'm too lazy to review include...

12. Los Prisoneros - Estreches de Corazon
14. Charlie Cruz - Curame
15. Son by Four - A Puro Dolor (Salsa Mix)
16. Elvis Crespo - Tu Sonrisa

My cd from Jgard ~

1. A New Found Glory - My friends Over You: Good opening up beat song. I've prolly heard a new found glory on the radio, but I don't really know them off of the top of my head. Good song none the less.

2. Alien Ant Farm - Flesh and Bone: The only AAF I've heard is the remix of the michael jackson song. I really like this song. Everything about it is great! It's opened my mind up more to the band, cuz like I said, I only know that MJ song they redid.

3. Sam & Dave - I'm Coming: Great oldskool song! I think it's a theme song to something...

4. NOFX- Please Play This Song on the Radio: I've never been a fan of hardcore punk rock, I give this song a thumbs down sorry d00d.

5. Mission of Burma - That's When I reach for My Revolver: Good tune, hard to hear the lead singer though. Reminds me of Rush a bit. Didn't Moby do a remix of this song?

6. The Toasters - Don't Let the Bastards Grind You Down: I do not own any ska music. This song sounds like Bare Naked Ladies meets the Reel Big Fish. I'm not sure what to think about it. It has a great organ riff in it.

7. The Hippos - Behind the Wheel: More ska, This one is better than the last one! Up beat and the lead singer has a sexy voice. This sounds like Sublime meets Royal Crown Revue. I'm lovin it.

8. Toad the Wet Sprocket - Know Me: Has a good melodey, slow at first then picks up. This song is growing on me.

9. Babaloo - Ay Ay Ya: Ska'ish, but this song is great! Too hard to describe. Good summertime chill song. One of my faves on the cd.

10. Wallflowers - I Started a Joke: Now, I've heard this song on the radio and it's good. I like it and that's all I have to say about it.

11. Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop:

Seeing that I'm on a role, I'm going to hack my post and write up my review for the round 4 cd I got....seeing as I didn't when I first got it 2 months ago.

We Go Out in Stormy Weather: Round 4 cd from Jmonusko

1. Grieg - Morning: Instrumental intro, perfect song to open the cd with. Nothing wrong with a bit of classical.

2. Spearhead - Deveryone Deserves Music: I've never heard of them, This song has a beat to it that you can't help but tap your foot to. Awsome melody, I love the piano and everything just meshes together. This is a song to start the day with!

3. Brand New Immortals - The Reason Why: This song has a wonderful intro to it. I really dig it. Doesn't sound like most rock bands out there. I'll have to check out more from this band for sure.

4. Travis - Baby One More Time: When I saw the title of the song I was like wth And proceded not to assume but when I heard it I knew I was right, A remix of britney's famous song! Got a great laugh out of it. I have to admit though, it sounds good acousticly. But Travis's falsetto isn't working out to well...

5. Dandy Warhols - Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth: This is a great song, I haven't heard much of this band, but I'm really digging this song. Very catchy. One of my faves.

6. Vendetta Red - Shatterday: I bit on the 'punkish' side, but it's got something going for it. This song is growing on me. It gets stuck in my head very easily.

7. Stephen Malkmus - (Do Not Feed the) Oyster: Great intro on this song, Reminds me of Presidents of the usa with the lyric choice. This song gets stuck in my head easily too. It's nice and mellow, one to sing along to.

8. Spoon - The Way We Get By: I find myself singing along with this song too, At frist I didn't like it, but it's growing on me now. upbeat and mellow at the same time. The tamborene has a great effect. And I love the piano in it. It's a great minamalistic song, not cluttered with lots of noise. I'm starting to like this one alot.

9. Blink 182 - All of This: Not a huge blink fan, but this song floored me. Never thought blink could make a mellow song. Sounds soo much like the cure (oh, I just read your liner notes J...Robert Smith did the lead vocals!), and I love the cure. This song fits so well into this mix. This has to be my top fave!!!

10. Morrissey - I've Changed My Plea to Guilty: Good piano intro, this song is still iffy with me. Great to sing along with though. I've never heard of Morrissey. I've caught myself listening to this song in the wee hours of the morning...good song to end with.

11. (bonus) The Bedroom Philosopher - My Nan Really Likes Radiohead: At first I didn't get this song. But after listening it to a few times it's pretty funny. So, it did it's job and got a laugh out of me. Radiohead is awsome.

Thanks to Jgard and Jmonusko for sending me cd's, Sorry for the delay to both of you. I liked Jmonusko's cd more than Jgards, but they both were well done. Can't wait till round 6.

11. Rammstein - Du Hast.
I put this song on my last OT CD, so yeah. Reminds me of college, love it.

Overall this is a great CD with a lot of tracks I hadn't heard before and really enjoy. I will definitely hang onto it and listen to it again. The only thing is that I wish I had the song names instead of which track they are on the album.... but thanks for a great CD Barrett!

Review of DJ 9-Iron's Smooth Mix:

1 - DJ Shadow - Lost and Found
Good start to the CD. Funky, groovy, a little repetitive and very odd, but great. I've heard a few tracks by DJ Shadow, and have liked what I've heard.

2 - The Chemical Bros - If you Kling to Me, I'll Klong to You
Song takes a good minute and a half to get going, but is worth the wait. Has a nice funky groove onces it gets up to speed.

3 - Reuben Wilson - Hot Rod
Very mellow tune. Maybe a little too mellow for my tastes, but it fits in well with the rest of the CD.

4 - Cymande - Dove
Same as above.

5 - Drumagik - Easy Boom
Cool track. One of my favs on the CD. Gets a little busy at times, but is good.

6 - Sly & Robbie - Asian Roots Dub
More funky laidback grooves, this time with a bit of a ska flavor.

7 - DMT - Why DMT Makes Sense
Yet another good song to tune out to

8 - Cymande - Bra
Good tune, funky beat, good vocals. I like this a lot more than the other Cymande track on here. I've never heard of them, but this made me look some info up on them. Of course, they're long broken up and their stuff is out of print

9 - Charlie Parker - Steeplechase (Sittin' on 22's remix)
I'm really digging these remixes of classic jazz, as I'm sure you could tell from the mix I sent you. I don't know whether Jazz purists approve (I'm sure they don't), but I sure do. Might just have to look into picking up the collection this came from.

10 - Heatwave - Boogie Nights
This song is pure Very good close to the CD. I can dig it, man.

Overall: great chill-out CD, which is exactly what I like to listen to while I'm coding at work. Very cool collection of tunes!

This was the CD that huckedup16 sent me:

Blood Brothers - 6 Nightmares at the Pinball Masquerade
This has to be the worst song I've ever heard. I don't even know if I'd consider it a song. There was no music in the definition that I understand, and the words were hard to make out except for when the song slows down in the middle and I heard "Jesus." This was definitely a bad start to the CD, and I even like punk music. Only download this song if you want a headache.

Bad Astronaut - Anecdote
Long and repetitive intro, and then it cut into what seemed like a completely different song. The song switches around way too much, I wasn't a fan.

Mad Caddies - No Hope
Ah, a ska song. I wasn't a fan of the beginning, but other than that it was all right. I thought the beat was too quick, but I think that it's mostly related to my mood right now. Very short song, too.

Steel Train - I Want You Back
Just a remake of the Jackson Five song. Nothing special about it, it sounds exactly the same as the original except for little Jackson's eunuch voice. I guess if that's what they were shooting for, they did a good job of it.

Yellocard - Believe
Strange beginning again (reoccurring theme ), I thought I was gonna be reviewing some classical music. But after that this song was good. Not great, but it wasn't too bad. I thought they used the typical emo "Everything is gonna be all right" line way too much, but it had a nice sound.
[EDIT: I was studying and somehow this song popped into my head. I don't know why, but now I'm in love with this song. Strange indeed. (added to my iTunes library)]

Yellocard - Only One
Better than the first Yellocard song, but I still wasn't in love with 'em or anything. This song was mediocre.

Snoop Dogg - From the Church to the Palace
Ok, I never listen to rap, but I'd have to say this was one of the better songs on the album. It at least had a hummable beat and understandable lyrics.

Bright Eyes - Haligh, Haligh, Haligh, A Lie
It's rather strange to go from Snoop Dogg to Bright Eyes, but it was definitely a welcomed change. I've only heard a few songs from Bright Eyes, excluding this one, and I've liked them all. The same can be said for this song, and I'm definitely adding this one to my iTunes library.

Starting Line - Saddest Girl
This was like Blink 182 meets Saves The Day. Not that it was bad, but nothing really stood out to me.

Talib Kweli - Get By
Again, I don't like rap, but I'm trying to be open-minded. I found the music to be decent, and the lyrics were very good. Overall it didn't appeal to me, but then again, I don't like rap.

Vowel Movements - Escape
This was another rap song. I wasn't a fan of this one at all. The beat wasn't too great, and the lyrics were just silly.

I hate to be so negative, but this CD just did not appeal to me overall. Out of 11 songs, there's only 2 that I enjoyed enough to add to my iTunes library.

-Matt

I wanna say this cd is all about attitude. Funk, in your face attitude.

1. Nightmares on Wax - Nights Interlude: But of course. Good beginner track. Pure classic material. Pharcyde used this in "Passin me By."

2. Supreme Beings of Leisure - Ghetto: Nice attitude. Awesome hook line. Funky, bounce with me.

3. 00 - Soul (Double-Oh-Soul) - Ramon: Nice upbeat song with a hint of Latin flavor. Funky guitar in the background. Flute loops = teh win.

4. Kay Starr - I've got my Love to Keep Me Warm (Stuhr rmx): Starts out sounding like a 40's big band song... Then comes of age. Nice integration of old sounds with the new.

5. Carmen McRae - How Long has this Been Going On? (MJ Cole rmx): Break in the action here. Faster paced with less meat. Gotta love the vocals.

6. Louis Armstrong and Jack Teagarden - Rockin' Chair (SubEd's theme): No review needed. Classic stuff. It's good to see people out there that enjoy this great music.

7. Astrud Gilberto - Who Needs Forever (Thievery Corp rmx): Choppy beat with some jingle. Smooth female vocals throuhout. Made me daydream.

8. Fila Brazilla - Dervish Controller: I love how this one starts out. The stuttering beat grabs your attention immediately. Slow and mystical. Good stuff from FB.

9. St. German - Sure Thing: Finger snappin, head bobbin, mmmm yeah.

10. Supreme Beings of Leisure - Sublime: Not sure why I haven't ever heard of these guys before... Good song to drive fast to.

11. Hooverphonic - Blue Wonder Power Milk: The only one I didn't care for. Just wasn't feelin it.

12. Kid Loco - Cosmic Supernatural: Starts off nice and slow with a cool sample. You can seriously space out to this one. Nice way to end the cd.

Thanks Tim. Good chill mix with lots of attitude and smooth beats. I will probably keep sending you cds if you want me to.... I didn't have access to 3/4 of my library at the time.

Default my review

Nothing is Set in Stone
a compilation by jmonusko

Air - Highschool Lovers
Already have this song, Air is cool

Living Colour - Flying
groovy/funky not bad

Bran Van 3000 - Drinking in LA
a little odd, reminds me of Beastie Boys

Traffic - Dear Mr. Fantasy
the static made it hard to listen to, sounds like an old 70's melody

Travis - Driftwood
not a fan of Travis, dull track, lacks creativity

Jet - Cold Hard Bitch
I like this track a lot, never heard of Jet before, guitar riffs reminds me of AC/DC, vocals remind of Black Crows

The Roots feat. Cody Chestnutt - The Seed 2.0
This song has been played out, it was cool when I first heard it

Ben Folds Five - Army
This is a good song, too bad I've already heard it, isn't there a video for this song?

Vast - Touched
Heard this song before too, I like VAST

Eels - From Rags to Rags
Eels are good, boaring song though

The CD is ok, he put a fancy cover on the front and put a picture of a rhinosaures on the disc, I was expecting more obscure artists though. Jet and Van Bran are the only artists I hadn't heard. I think he's going to be in for a surprise when he hears mine.

Hell yeah man, sounds good to me. I can send ya a copy of the first mix I made. It's pretty similar to this one, but with lots of Kruder and Dorfmeister, and some more Supreme Beings of Leisure

Glad you enjoyed it!
