Subaru Stars Seaside Subaru Cruise #2: SEATTLE Area Caravan

SEASIDE SUBARU CRUISE
SEATTLE AREA CARAVAN:

August 1st, 2009
AGAIN, THIS IS NOT A RACE.
Directions For the drive (print out for the drive)

Our caravan will Leave from the Tacoma Mall Krispy Kreme and enter I-5 South from South 38th St. Once on I-5 there will be a lead and trail car. The lead car will proceed to slow down to about 45 in the right lane until the last car catches up, then we will regain speed again as a group. (Lead car and last car will be decided and marked at Krispy Kreme before we all leave.) Here is the Link to the OP: Seaside Subaru Cruise #2

6:30AM: Meet @ Krispy Kreme
Address: 4302 Tacoma Mall Blvd
Tacoma, WA 98409

7AM SHARP: Depart for Surgeline Tuning
Address: 16580 SW 72nd Ave
Portland, Oregon 97224

Before the questions begin, yes I realize we are leaving three hours before the meet begins at Surgeline Tuning. The drive time is listed as 2 hours and 24 minutes. I have allotted for 36 minutes of OMG someone broke down, had to piss, etc. There are no planned stops on our caravan, so please come with a full tank of gas and an empty bladder. Stops will only be made if ABSOLUTELY necessary. The organizer for this meet, JamesBernard, has given us his blessing for the caravan down so let's make this a SAFE and FUN drive!

Count me in. Will there be scheduled stops? If so post location and estimated departure time for every stop(so anyone behind knows when we are leaving and next stop ect).

You've been added. There are no scheduled stops due to us having to leave so early to begin with. Once our list begins to fill out I will get a feel for whether people are willing to leave earlier. As it stands though we will only be leaving ourselves 30 minutes for any unexpected delays and I would rather not risk not arriving on time. As we get closer though I am open to possibly bumping up our departure time in order to add a pit stop.

The first one is the hardest, Mine was last night. Sitting in best thinking about waking up at 5:30 AM for the loop run was not what I was expecting to do on a saturday morning. Believe me, ITS COMPLETELY WORTH IT!!!!!!

If this many people signed up for this by now(seaside run not premeet), I'm sure you'll have a great time(as long as you show).

yeah with 85+ people on the list for the SSC #2, there should be a turnout of probably 125+ cars which is about 25 more cars than last time. and thats still pretty conservative.
I wouldnt be surprised if there were 175 cars.

I showed up for the Cascade Loop Premeet. Just didn't get the auth for the time-off to take off with you guys over the mountain...

Plus Portland is by far the prettiest city I've been to so it'll be a nice change of scenery from Seattle's edginess (as one ladyfriend called it).
