Default Running off of wastegate spring, zero out wgdc across the board?

2004 WRX 18g supporting mods 750cc AUS injectors

Hello I have a 16psi spring installed in my wastegate and will begin tuning today. Right now it is setup to bypass bcs and connects directly to wastegate. 16psi is my target boost. I know it will slightly slow my spool, but this is how it is for now to get started seems easier to get set up with one less variable.

My question is should I zero out the wgdc values across the board if I am not using it? I will still leave it plugged in (electrically, vacuum lines disconnected). And if I do that is there some hidden effect that will restrict any other part of the tune? Just curious if the ecu gets angry with no wgdc value but it still sees boost pressure.

Or should I just install a 10psi spring and reconnect oem bcs?

In the long run I think I will eventually run full time off of spring only to eliminate one more failure mode and have more consistent boost pressure, and don't mind sacrificing a few hundred RPM in spool time.

I was trying to keep it simple for now while I tune the idle and part throttle. Also if anybody wants to give advice on setting up these 750cc injectors that would be great. The map is currently set for the oem 420ccs. I know I need to use a multiplier to try to bring the values down but I have no clue how to set up latency etc. I am reading over at romraider every day and trying to learn not looking for someone to do the work for me, just maybe a couple tips.

Thanks for any help I appreciate it!

Well nevermind about the injector setup question....I just found holycrapitsfast tuning guide through google (there goes the rest of my day) and realize that question can't really be answered here. I may use ID injectors latency value to set a baseline as my AUS injectors are identical down to the anodized adapters.

Still curious about wgdc though if anyone has a minute.

If you have the wastegate connected to the compressor, you will be limited to wastegate boost regardless of your WGDC tables. If you do decide to use the BCS and are just starting to dabble with tuning, then yes do zero out the WGDC tables and take it from there.
