They are new denso 565s.... Iíve thought maybe a vacuum leak, but my idle is fine and consistent. Car runs great after it starts and pulls hard throughout the gears and rpms, it just seems too long before starting. Idk? Trying to figure it out though.

Does the startup time improve when you prime the fuel pump 2 or 3 times before starting?

Considering all of the fuel system components have been replaced, I wonder if it's holding pressure after sitting for a short period. Using a mechanical fuel pressure gauge is the only way to know for sure, but perhaps the new regulator and/or fuel pump is leaking fuel back to the tank when the car is off. Or a leaking injector... Food for thought.

Here's a suggestion, tell us more about your swap, are you using the jdm ecu or did you get a tune for your car? if you give us more info, we can help a little more instead of taking shots in the dark

Usdm ecu, E-tune currently still in progress. Have to go 200 miles until next datalog. Iíve primed the system off and on and it helps by maybe a second, but still seems to have a long crank. If I turn it off after having it run, it will crank right over 7/10 times.

Tune is from Eric minehart at Torqued performance, the tune seems solid, however I am new at data logs etc. and this is my first swap. Could it be the tune for initial start up? All the logs Iíve done have been from the engine warmed up. Could I talk to him about doing a cold start log? Thoughts?

Yeah, before the swap it cranked over and started up right away with the usdm Ej motor. Even with the walbro 255.

Long cranks fixed, apparently my injectors and or coil packs were not up to par? The pink 565s I had bought new were ďDensoĒ but could have been knock offs. So I got some legit sti injectors installed and now it cranks over at first crank. Some BS though nonetheless. I suppose this is a part of swapping engines and going through that process.

I was going to say there is always a long crank in my 05XT (with JDM EJ20) after clearing engine codes, but it's a one time thing - sounds like you got it sorted anyway.
