I agree about Roxy. That chick has the crazy eye. Nice job on the bench ETD.

I'm gonna squat in my chucks today, not strong enough for Adidas yet.

The door on the left is the front door and the one in the kitchen leads into my garage

Ah, ok. I think I see the baseboard now. Looked like 2 front doors.
What did she end up cooking?

Scott Mendelson attempts to raw bench 716 lbs - YouTube
Not a bad attempt at all. Pretty cool to see a couple people going head to head for the raw bench record. Would be cool if Scot reset the mark.

Why does that make you not want to bench? It wasn't even that bad. It would have been bad if he didn't have all those spotters.

Interesting to note that he was pushing off his toes and not driving through the heels.

Bad handoff. Good stability, nice drive. He's obviously not there but close enough to be a contender. Based on that lift I'd guess he's just a little south of 7 which is remarkable overall, especially considering he's 44.

Yeah, I missed it.

Don't worry about pec tears until you're over 405. Until then, its rarely an issue.

And for fetus, he is not driving through his toes. He is driving down through his heels. Because he is pretty high on his toes, it doesn't look like that, but that is what is happening.

Agreed - that handoff was crap. Can't imagine how awful a bad handoff with 716 must feel. Bet is feels a lot like a torn pec waiting to happen.

Oh okay. Does that give you the same amount of drive?

Depends on who you are... its good enough for Scot to hold the all time raw bench WR. Seems to suit him just fine. Myself, I bench flat footed because that was the rule when I lifted back in 1986.

This was already explained multiple times to you, fool.

There are 2 major ways to press. On your heels or on your toes. Choose 1. Don't do some version that's between the two. On the toes gives you a better arch. On the heels is more positive leg drive. Depends on your anatomy, strengths/weaknesses, and preference.
