Excellent! (evil Mr. Burns chuckle)

Matt your directions look good. The mall entrance that you want, there are several, is the first light going EAST from Meacham on Golf, which incidentally is also on your map.

Woodfield is huge. If you have trouble, drive around in a counterclockwise fashion (relative to your map) and you will eventually find the lot B1.

If anyone has trouble finding the place, you can phone me on my CELL (630)918-6540.

Andrew

Arrow MWIC - Woodfield 3/26

Hot off the presses.

Sunday March 26 at 1 pm.
Woodfield Mall
Parking lot B1 - Big and Empty,
located east of Hooters,
between Hooters and Firestone.

12:30 pm - I will be there.
1:00 pm - Official start time.
1:45 pm - We will head into Hooters for lunch. Buffalo Wings and coke (If a few people show, I'll buy. If a lot show...)
3:00 pm - Head over to Schaumberg Subaru for a tour of the Service department and to hold brainstorming for Club status/ideas.

John Vehrs, Service Manager for Schaumburg Subaru will also be attending (hopefully in a RS).
Quick background:
He was previously service manager for Hyundai Schaumburg.
He has been at Schaumburg Subaru for just over a month.
He knows a little about Subarus and wants to learn more.
He is VERY COOL about MODS on our cars.

Have questions about your mods? Ask him at the meet.

I've been lurking The computer is "done" but now I am in another bind. My computer has no serial ports, and my RF remote control won't work with a USB to serial converter, so I need to realign my attack on system control. I may end up getting another Philips Pronto [$400!!!] to control both my head unit and my computer. I would have much more control over the DVD, Dreamcast Game Console, and MP3 section with the Pronto, but $400 is an aweful lot of cash to drop on the system [the computer barely cost $400 with all the enhancements heh]...

I'll be there. I have to work around some scheduling conflicts, but my life-load has been pretty slim compared to last year hehe.

dada, I believe there is a program for the Palm Pilot that can do the same thing... I haven't checked it out yet but I've heard about it a lot. Also someone was talking about the Radio Shack X-10.

Here is a link on the PalmPilot program (looks great... you actually record the IR transmissions from things into it) http://www.pacificneotek.com/ and you can even get a version of it for the Handspring (little bit cheaper version of a PalmPilot but 100% compatible since it was made by the people that made them for 3Com) http://www.handspring.com/

Yeah, I was thinking about that software but its not as robust as the Pronto... I'll have to do some research heh.

My current remote is RF which is great, but its not working 100% as I wanted it to. I'll putz around a bit with one of my pronto's [i have two in the house right now] just to see if it fits the bill. I'd love a permanently situated controlled, because a remote is really so unwieldly. But I'm sure I'll get it right after a few tries.

Don't get too excited just yet, they should
be sending mineout next week, but I'll be
gone all week. If everything works out
perfectly, I'll have it on by then, but I bet
it will actually be a week or 2 later. This
time I have removed my boost gauge so that
no one will laugh at me

(actually I removed it because I decided to use a different gauge)
