I would recommend against trying it... Just spend the $100 on getting the Walbro for the RS.

Hmmm... actually, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be done. It's already a turbo pump, so it'll be capable of higher pressures, though I question the flow as it's 2.0 versus a 2.5.

It'll certainly be quieter then the Walbro pump, that is for sure.

I figured that the WRX guys are all replacing it as well, so I was guessing it wasn't as strong as one would need....

Just my .02

After being schooled in fluid dynamics by the local 'kooter' the stock wrx pump is fine. In some applications,it is actually better than the walboro.

It really depends on what injectors you are/plan on running. Which ones are you planning?

Both the wrx and the rs have 550cc low imp squirters. I'll probably end up putting the wrx pump in there and using it for at least a while. If I run out of fuel in the RS, then I'll buy a bigger Walbro.

Hmm, wonder if my 1.8 could use it to any effect...

Sure Kosta, why not. I have an Rx7 TT fuel pump in mine and it helped quite a bit.

But then again subachad, you're turbo'd and Kosta isn't. What would a better fuel pump do for a stock 1.8L engine anyway?

Well, unless it's a heavily modified 1.8... waste fuel, pollute the air more, foul plugs...
