Default official Mark Jones Tuning review thread

talked to the mods about creating this, they may move it, but other than that we're good to go. i'll start.

took my car to mark for the first time a few months ago. we spent a lot of time going over my goals for the car and when would be a good time to tune it. we tuned it then, and got great results. he payed a lot more attention than other ECU tuners ive gone to. didn't just give it a base map with a few tweaks to it. he made sure the setup was made specifically for my car.
i went back last friday to get tuned for my TBE. once again, he completely retuned the car instead of just using a map from another car with similar mods. overall the experience and results were excellent and mark is the only person i'll let tune my ECU from now on.

the very first line in my thread said the mods said post it and they will move it if necessary. why post if all youre going to do is complain about something i already disclosed?

I am getting my new motor installed here in the next month and I'm planning on running e85. I'm really looking forward to what Mark can do with my setup. I'm pretty excited. Anthony's car set the bar pretty darn high.

MARK JONES! Yup, he is the shiznit! He too didn't just give it a base map with a few tweaks to it. Mark made sure the setup was made specifically for my car, made sure I understood everything that was going on, what he was doing and got rid rid of the knock I had too. The guy knows his ****. I recommend him, great customer service as well!
Keep up the good work man

He is the man for teh subies honestly. He hooked up my e85 map nice. One hell of a guy and easily the best tuner in the valley (maybe not as famous as Clark Turner, but give it time )

Now if I can just find a power programmer that he can tune to make my F150 stop drinking me under the table

seeing as how he didnt change his name to mark, i'd say he has his own thread somewhere else. or wait. no. i think one of the other review threads was hijacked so people could talk about him. i think its the dyno comp thread that you can find what happened. towards the end.

I haven't been tuned by Mark, but I know him personally and he is a great guy. He has logged my car and I have seen him working with others nearly every week at the San Tan Meet on Thursdays. He is very approachable, willing to help, and willing to answer your n00b questions.

One thing that separates Mark from the others is that Mark treats his tuning like a hobby rather than a job. He isn't tuning your car to make a buck and get you out the door as quickly as possible to make a buck off the next guy, he's tuning your car because he wants to and because he likes what he's doing. I've got to say he is very passionate about his tuning.

no one has gotten them confused.. and i thought you didnt have your car tuned by Travis, so if you didnt, and since you dont know the guy like some of us here do then maybe u should'nt run your mouth. I like travis and so do a lot of people. Remember when someone from RPM was doing the suby community here in PHX wrong, Travis was the one who actually manned up and took care of some of that mess.

Ohhhhhh u heard stories from other members and shiet. cool. Hitler use to tell stories about jews too, some of them true most of them not. Dont get it twisted.. no tuner is not going to be the 2nd coming of christ and build an engine where it WONT blow. Every tuner has blown engines... how many engines do they blow in the NHRA per season or Nascar or Indy or even the WRC. it happens.

If your man enough to mod your car be man enough to fix it if it blows up.

SERIOUSLY tho.... if your car was stock (except for a bov and tgv deletes which in case means its still pretty much stock) why would you want to go get it tuned? from the factory the sti is almost running to capacity. However i am happy that u finally got an exhaust. gratz. See you thursday.. otis punkmyer.

Champaign Dreams and Caviar Wishes
cheers bietches!
Le Fish
<))><

ohh btw the same guy u had fix your engine at MCS is the same guy that worked for snail/rpm doing engines.

I only commented because I knew Travis was using everyones car as a learning tool and did not really know what he was doing. I saw maps even fixed his maps and tried to warn the community and everyone bashed on me hardcore. I said whatever and let time tell all and what do you know?

Anyways I have not met Mark and would like to talk a few things with him. Sorry to hijack the thread.
