Default Greddy (so how long does it take to make a can with two holes?)

Is it common for these catch cans to be on back order for over 3 weeks at one of their dealers?

Got it, thanks for the quick turnaround! Bigger than I thought from pictures.

Also thanks for the great price on the two parts together. Especially since it seems everyone is on backorder.

Why is GReddy constantly backordered? They need to start upping production or something.

Not sure sat on an order with someone for 3 weeks with a vendor who kept saying "next week" until Z-1 came to the rescue with one in stock.

I won't mention the other vendor since everytime I inquired they did offer to allow me to cancel the order for immediate refund and when I did cancel they did immediately credit me.

Why? simple...becasue that is how they choose to do things. Gredy has a great niceh in this bix..their exhausts outsell everyone else's by 2:1. Since every container that comes in is virtually presold by the time it arrives, they have found that backorders actually are a good thing..its means a constant cashflow, and very quick turnover on inventory.

The trick is dealing with someone who knows this stuff, and maintains stock.

Yep, inventory is expensive to finance for a manufacturer or dealer that knows it will be sold but not when. If Greddy is manufacturing only to back order that is also fine, it saves on cost all the way through the chain. I bet you some of the more expensive ones might have it in stock - the extra cost is paying them to inventory it. Though Z-1 had an excellent price for the one they had in stock when they contacted me in this thread.

I do wish the vendor I ordered with originally (though I they handled me well and professionally overall) would have had on thier site that it was backorder or special order only, instead of telling me that it was out of stock three days after they charged my card and I wrote about a tracking number. That didn't leave me happy but it was mitigated by them offering to immediately cancel the order and credit the money. I left my order with them because of that willingness for three weeks and would have left it longer had Z-1 not come to the rescue. And when I did cancel the order with the other vendor after ordering from Z-1 I don't think I have ever received a credit as quickly and apologetically as they processed mine. I will use them in the future just knowing that they are sensitive to my money and responsive to my contact with them.
