Good news! My ETA is also for the end of September. The wait is killing me. Did you receive any e-mail from Subaru or was your only notification via dealer? Sorry I don't know anything about paint protection.

This thread has me on the edge of my seat with all the info trickling in. All I wanna know is if the stereo sound quality on the base STI still crappy?

You can bet your bottom dollar that the base Subaru stereo will be just like every other Subaru.

I hope not. I currently drive a 14 Legacy Sport and the stereo is loud with strong bass. It sounds great for a stock Subaru. I test drove an 18 STI and the stereo was way worse. Embarrassingly bad. I'm hoping for the good with the new head unit. But it will probably blow.

I doubt it will change in regards to sound quality. I donít understand why the WRX has such a crappy radio. Our 14 forester has the base radio and it sounds good. The HK upgrade is the reason I went to the limited. After you factor in the recaro package for the base it wasnít all that much more to get into the limited. The sunroof and blind spot monitoring was just a bonus. My forester XT has the HK radio and it is fantastic considering it doesnít have a sub. The HK in the limited sounds about the same as he forester but with more bass.

It all depends if the new HU is amplifying the signal to the speakers more than the previous HU.

My sales agent called me notifying that the car was one week away from the dealer. No worries bro, I'm still shopping around for a good clear bra haha

I ordered a wrx limited, I'll definitely let you know how's the stereo.

Default Any more pricing info for STI's?

Anybody else able to share what they are paying for a STI? I got a quote from a dealer away from the city and they quoted me MSRP. I had went to an Atlanta area dealer and test drove a wrx a few weeks ago and he just reached out to me to let me know they got the 19 sti's in and also quoted me MSRP. Earlier on in this thread it seemed like people were having luck getting under. I'm looking to get a base sti out the door for under 40K. (W/tax and fees). Its this realistic expectations? I just requested a quote from a third dealer that had "available savings" listed on their sti. I'll see what they say.

There is a spreadsheet in the original post in this thread that shows what people are paying before tax, etc. I, for example, am taking my base STI with about $700 worth of options out the door for, I think $39,117--6% sales tax included (saving something like $1,400 off the MSRP).

You might be able to score a comparable deal, as long as you're willing to talk to more dealerships, preferably higher volume dealerships since they seem to be able to make the best deals. I don't think many people on this forum are paying MSRP for their STI or WRX, despite what your dealer probably tells you. My advice is don't try to just yell at your dealer and act all macho and insist on getting a discount. Instead, tell them what other dealerships are charging and give your local dealer a good reason to make a deal with you. Good luck!

Default midpipe/mufflers

Has anyone checked to see if the RA midpipe and mufflers are the same part #'s as the stock 2019 base STI???

I'm waiting to see aftermarket axlebacks start becoming available.

Iím getting mine for invoice. Itís a limited with a few options for ~40,500. Most Dallas area dealers are listing their 19s at invoice and selling 18s for invoice minus holdback.

I apologize if this is not the "right" place for this but I stopped by IRA Subaru in Danvers, Ma. today and they have a type RA (Black)they would like to move with "agressive" pricing. Also a just delivered Black STI was on the lot. Rick.

Even at invoice the RA, depending on options, will be around 46k. Other than the carbon fiber roof, wing, wheels, rear bumper, and a few cosmetic items the 19 is the same.

Went in to preorder a 19 this week, hoping they would be in soon. Found the last 2018 STi for sale here. Blue Pearl loaded with options for a ridiculously good price. Power seats, Recaros, Short Shifter, Perf. exhaust, 7" head unit, auto dimming mirror, carbon fiber trunk accent, all weather floor mats, push button start.....almost every option. For 38k. All a guy I could ask for I guess, missing out on android auto won't be too huge of a deal.

Considering 2020 or 2021 maybe be a redesign, I won't regret missing out on a 2019 for less than a year before I get an itch for the new redesigned model. Been a NASIOC member for 16 years, its been a decade but I'm finally back into a Subaru.

Looks like the dealer informed me that my order has arrived already this Saturday and I can pick it up when I'm ready. Crazy how early it came compared to original ETA of September! Now I just have to find some time to clean up and prepare my current leased Impreza for return. Super excited!

I picked up my car last Thursday. Dropped it off Saturday to get the front end wrapped in xpel and getting tinted. Picking up tomorrow, then taking it in on Saturday for some ceramic coating. Haven't really driven it much. But once it's done getting the coating, game on!

Did you get the entire hood, fenders, and bumper done or just partial coverage? About how much did it cost? Iíve been trying to get a few quotes from places around me for the full front coverage and theyíre around $1500-$1800, so I wanted to see if that was about right.

Hey all!

As our vehicles are slowly starting to arrive now, don't forget to update your Actual Date of Delivery in OP excel sheet (all the way if you scroll to the right of it) if you haven't done so already, just so we can all gauge delivery and wait times and comparisons to original ETAs.

Much appreciated and don't forget to post them nice pics if you got them!

The clear bra quote is reasonable based on quotes I have gotten in the Virginia/Washington DC area. That is not even through the dealer, but independent installers, and there are several that are much higher that that.

I don't know if that helps you because I think prices here are inflated in general from the robust local economy.

Anyone interested in a Series Gray STI Subaru of Merrillville in Indiana will be getting one in early October. Price is $42,586. Over $2,000 over MSRP. No thanks. Not even gonna try and haggle.
