Default Electronic boost controllers...which one are you using?

Looking for some opinions on EBC's...which one are you running and why?

So many to choose from and I know very little about which ones are quality and which ones suck...have heard good things about the DTEC, AVCR and TurboSmart Eboost2....thanks for the input!

it depends on who is tuning your car.. make sure you pick something that your tuner has experience with and is comfortable with.

i have the dtec and in retrospect i'd have gone with the eboost2

don't buy something with 9023840923849083 features if you're only going to use 4 of them.

I have a Cobb AP so most likely will be heading to PDX tuning for a dyno tune...

which one does pdx suggest with an AP and your setup?

i know they're experienced with the dtec (maybe more than anyone else).. don't know about the other two. i can assume they have tuned an avc-r.. the eboost2.. no idea. i know phil likes them.

The game boy is the interface tool only, it does not in any way have any effect on how the Dtec works, once you set it you can just unplug it. Just like the UTEC and your laptop u dont have to leave it plugged in, in order to make he UTEC work.

I have the DTEC and have used it on 3 turbo's 5 tunes 2 differnt WG's and i cant be more happy with it. PDX loves them and knows how to install them and tune them. I would go that route. Dave @ SRP has some instock

it can stay in the car and be used as a boost gauge or a number of other monitoring tools, but it doesn't have to.

With an EBC is it worthwhile to upgrade to an aftermarket boost celenoid (like the prodrive unit) ? anyone of you guys running this or did you just stick with the stock celenoid?

Every Aftermarket EBC that I've seen has come with it's own solenoid. The prodrive solenoid is made for the stock EM system, whether reflashed or Utec'd.
