Is this the same procedure for the 08' 2.5i? Just wondering because I want to go with the whole red theme since my car is pearl white. Looking at the tenzo type m version 1 with the red lip and the red rally armor mud flaps also

well yes and no. there are 2 screws holding the front emblem in place as well as glue. you will need to remove the screws then heat up the glue and take it off. i found 2 ways you can do this.
1) you can take off the grille and remove it that way
or
2) remove the screws while the grill is still on the car.

i prefer method 1. its extremely easy to take off the grille (idk y dealers charge me to do a swap. took me less than half an hr once i found all the screws)

heres how to remove the grille
1) remove the black plastic plugs and the intake vent
2) you should now be able to move the grille far away enough that you can stick your hand inside. near the center pillar look for 2 screws on the chrome trim (if you have an 08)
3) once the center 2 are out, the other 2 are on the edges by the headlights you should be able to pull that far out enough to see them
4) slowly remove the grille starting at the top and work your way to the center from the bottom
5) you should have your grille removed now lol

basically the same method grillcraft tells you. go to their website if you wanna look at pics. im too damn lazy to post them lol sorry

i tried to paint the rear badge red on my GFs 08 and i used nail polish remover to get the blue paint off the badge and it make the clear plastic turn white. it worked fine on my 07 wrx tho. the badge was pretty easy to get off the trunk though. try brake cleaner not nail polish remover if its an 08. my gf has redrallu armor flaps also. looks sweet.

i have an '08 wrx stock grille and cannot get the front badge out. I've tried a hairdryer and the oven and have had no luck. When i try to pry it off i'm just ruining the chrome around the outside of it. anyone have any other suggestions on how to pop the clear plastic out of the chrome? i've used several different small tools trying to get behind it.

Be very careful not to bend the emblem too much, or chip it. The cracks run like crazy (like a ding in a windshield)... I now need to order a new one.

I guess i was rubbing on it too vigorously because when i was done I had cracks running all over it.

I'm about to do this to my 09 FXT except removing the rear subaru star badge looks rather hard to remove. Anyone know how to do it?
