Question Interest in Indiglo Gauges for Legacy?

I emailed the guy running the indiglo gauge group buy for the Impreza's and he said if we could get fifty people for a group buy, they would manufacture a gauge kit for our legacy's similar to the Impreza's. I figure we probably can't get fifty people, but I just wanted to see how much interest we could generate. I assume pricing would be similar. You can check out the RS gauges at http://www.moneyzipper.com/el/subaru_impreza_2.5rs_9801.htm

I'd be in. I have the JC Sports white face guages, but indiglo would be far cooler than the paper ones!

Let's keep this list going guys. If any of you know of people interested who aren't in I-club just pm or e-mail me. Maybe we can even get them to put a 2.5GT emblem on the tach like RS.

Anything would be better than the HARD-TO-READ stock black gauges in my 99 Outback.

Count me in if it comes through!

Any Chance they'd make them for the Older style gage Legacies, pre 93 or 94? Or would that have to be a whole 'nother buy?

legacy777-- They seemed pretty reluctant at taking on new projects, unless they were gaurenteed to sell a large amount.

SYMS GT-- I think that plain white faced gauges would be too dificult to see at night, my gauges are hard enough to see as it is.

Alright, I count twelve of us so far, let's see how many more of us we can get, I'll contact them again with a number of people, probably not 50, and see if we can get them to manufacture some new ones. We may have to send off a set of gauges for them to work with so if no one needs their gauges for a while speak up. I'll see if I can maybe find a wrecked Legacy and tear out the gauges.
BTW the gauges would be white-faced by day.

Pete

Question

This might be an issue for me. I forgot to ask if these gauges can be dimmed like the factory gauges. I checked the link you posted but couldn't find any info on this. Please let me know.

Ok, my mistake, it looks like they can be.

K: How can white gauges be any worse than black gauges at night?!?!??!

--> White gauges would be sweet by themselves, but I'm in for a set of the Indiglo gauges if they make them. I need them for a '97 GT.

Why doesn't someone make a list?

I'm in (2000 GT), I posted there requesting the same thing early yesterday.

50 is a little high though. I wonder if they'll get 50 impreza guys.

White faced would be so cool. And the 97+ would be sooo easy to do.

Mike2000GT
(I remember the early 90's 5-speed maxima's had white faces similar to ours... talk about sweet.)

Come on guys/girls, we need at least 50 people for this to work!! NOw sorry to say this is for trhe people with Legacy's with a 120mph speedo set. I beleive this is the MY97-99 Legacy's so I'm sorry... I'm sure when more people get the MY00+ more will be made. I do have the gauge cluster for the 98 GT ready to be shipped for production but we need at least 50 units to be made!! Come on everyone get on this for production to happen!!

I've e-mailed the guy again about the gauges and seeing if he'll settle for a number less than fifty. It's obvious there's an interest in the Legacy aftermarket community for gauges. Let's see if we can get a few more people in on this though. I'm hoping to hear from him by the end of the weekend.

GZoomer-- I believe 95' and up Legacy's have the same readout.
