It seems like the hump in the rear seats are fiberglass. Was that necessary to fit the transmission?

Was the motor what necessitated cutting the crossmember between the shock towers, or was it the transmission? I'm wondering if it would be necessary with a Porsche motor or LS, or if things could be dropped down an inch or two without gumming up angles and ground clearance.

How is the transmission mounted up front?

Ok, dead links for pics back up. sorry, server got hacked.

-Nope, not fiberglass. thats just the imprint from the carpet that was over it. had to make an indentation with hammer to clearance for the trans.

-the motor necessitated the crossmember modification so i could have the proper ground clearance for the sump.

-trans up front is mounted using the stock porsche mount using small risers to mount it to the trans. the stock porsche mount has isolator bushings to decrease vibration transmission
