Stay up to speed - tune into www.rally.subaru.com.au
Subaru Australia has launched its new rally website, www.rally.subaru.com.au, featuring a new webcasting service, Subaru Rally Radio.

The new site has been designed to cover all Australians rallying Subarus – from Chris Atkinson in the World Rally Championship, Cody Crocker and Dean Herridge and many others in the Australian championship, and all drivers in the Subaru Rally Challenge.
Subaru Rally Radio will operate live at the Subaru Rally of Canberra and the six rounds of the Globalstar Australian Rally Championship.
It will cover all the action as it unfolds, operating from 4pm on Friday and from 8am on Saturday and Sunday on each event weekend. There will be news on the hour, every hour, as well as updates every fifteen minutes.
The Subaru Rally Hour will also be live every Monday night at 8pm from April 25. The chat show will have a special guest each week as well as previewing and reviewing World and Australian championship events.
At other times the station will have recorded highlights, with special feature stories also available for download. Currently, an interview with Cody Crocker, talking about his success at Rally New Zealand and the up-coming Subaru Rally of Canberra, is on-air.
When the station is live rally fans will be able to ask questions or make comments from the website, with a Clarion entertainment unit going to the best question each day. Other giveaways include DirtyDog sunglasses, Caltex Starcash cards and a range of merchandise from the Subaru Lifestyle Shop.
The site will also feature a range of competitions, breaking news, live results, a photo gallery and web cams from the service park.
“Subaru Rally Radio is designed to engage all rally fans, not just supporters of Subarus,” said Subaru Motorsport manager, Greg Foletta.
“Our brief to the Subaru Rally Radio team is to talk to everyone who wants to talk to them. It will be a chat format, with news on the hour, updates every fifteen minutes.”
“We’ll have some music, but that will have a rally theme as well, playing favourite songs from rally personalities.”
“By having a regular format of news and updates, people will know they can come in from whatever they are doing and tune in at set times and know they will be kept up to date with the most current results.”
Each round will feature a guest host and expert as well as people reporting in from the service park, end of stages and from spectator points.”
Another feature of the site will be the Canon Photo Competition. Rally fans will be able to submit their own photos and the one voted the best though an on-line voting system will receive a Canon camera and go into the draw for the Photo of the Year competition.
The new Subaru website is currently in operation, and a number of other initiatives are planned to be introduced during the year.
