I use the Blitz SBC-iD... had it for about 2 years and I like it a lot. There are still a lot of functions/features I haven't learned yet and tuning it on manual is a bit of a PITA- but overall it is good to go

No, the AVCR doesn't crash. That's stupidest thing I've ever heard. I've used mine for 4 years without a hitch. Some people are just too stupid to operate something more advanced than 1 big knob.

The greddy is crap? Have you even had these boost controllers you mention? I also have the Profec B which works decently, but it's very unsophisticated and crude. It's basically a mbc with a remote dial switch.

greddy es mucho bueno!!

greddy is awesome. holds boost perfectly on my sr20. its a profec b spec2. i have heard that they suck and that they actuator sticks if it gets hot or wet. but that was from a turbo rsx who had the actuator in the back right next to the turbo. i havent had any issues with mine, and the ease of use.... awesome.

thats why it sucks. Might as well get an MBC. That and it's a ****ing pain in the ass to tune with.

the HKS lets your tuner have a lot more control over your car and for the big turbo guys you can get a lot more outta the car and much better times.

the Apexi crashing problem, hopefully has been addressed, had to do with the "fuzzy logic" stuff they isntalled in there.

ask a tuner who has tuned a lot of cars.

LOTS of people have problems with the profec.

a LOT of them don't like dealing with them. Most of the time a turboXS dual stage manual works better.

NOT!!!
i had one on my sr20 for about 6months. it would always do the whole puke and die thing because the boost would fall off. made max power 230 on a dyno at 4500, but made 260tq at the same and then it would crap out and die.
with the profec b spec2 it holds boost perfectly so max power of 245 is now at 6250, and the tq is flat at 225-230 from 4000rpm to 6500.
which do you think is better.
to me that looks like dyno proven performance.

Once again, it doens't crash. It's actually the most sophisticated EBC period. Rpm-based AND gear-based boost.

it's definitely not the most sophisticated. As long as you are looking at japanese products, yes, however many engine management systems come coupled with boost by gear based programs. I'll have to ask Jason what he's using nowadays on his cars, but you might as well check out his website since anything you hear from me is as a secondary source.

www.stoopidfast.com

ask him for yourself
his road tune was only about3-4 hp behind clark's dyno tune on 400awhp Big Turkey's WRX.
I don't think anyone else in TXIC is making that kinda power now, so I think he knows what he's doing.

Lol, we're not comparing $300ebc's to $1000 engine management systems. Let's not change the issue here. It's the most sophisticated ebc. That point stands.
