Default 2012-2013 Nba

Congratulations to the Miami Heat in the 2012 Finals.

Some jumping off discussion points for this season. I'll try to add more tonight or tomorrow.

Wasn't sure who should start it but I regularly post every year so here goes.

Feel free to add:

1) Who plays the minutes Rose loses for the regular season aside from the current roster? Nash? A draft pick?

2) What does Los Angeles do about the holes in the depth chart and starting 5? To trade Bynum or Gasol? Pick up the option on sessions or look at Nash or Kidd on the unrestricted free agent list?

3) How many of Boston's big three return? To those who don't, which teams actually want them?

4) How can OKC afford Ibaka AND Harden after extending Durant and Westbrook' contracts?

5) Dwight? Again? Here we go.

6) Deron Williams stays with Brooklyn or goes where everyone thinks, back home to Dallas.

7) Is Indiana for real and will they match any offer on Roy Hibbert, a restricted free agent?

8) Is CP3 going to sign an extension with the Clips or demand a trade ala Carmelo and Dwight?

9) Will New York shop Amare? Will New York match any offer for Lin?

10) Is San Antonio finally actually really seriously no joke stop it done?

Well?!

Edit: I typed all that out after game 4 in anticipation in case no one started a new 2012-2013 thread. Now that Miami has sealed the deal some questions and my own immediate reactions.

1) Ever since going down a game to Indiana the Heat (Lebron) have made some historically great games. Went down 3-2 to Boston, came into the Garden unafraid and dominant. They played like the team they were assembled to be.

2) Do we give Lebron all the credit? For me a monstrous yes. Wade was forgettable and Bosh was injured. Lebron did this. Like 70% of this by the stat sheet and big moments.

3) Was that leg cramp pathetic? So pathetic. It reminded me of some player in the Eastern Conference Finals a few years back in a wheelchair for half a quarter. Can't remember what team he was on though. Probably a nice guy.

4) 1 ring finally for Lebron. ITT we predict his number of rings at the end of his career. Many of us have been here 5-10 years so who's to say we can't look back at our prediction another 5-10 years from now? I'm going to throw my guess out at 3 rings before his career ends. See 2017 Ripper! Good guess!

They have a nice team building. Slowly, but building. Rookie of the year and a low draft pick in a relatively good draft pool. Things could start looking up.

Kinda, sorta. A little yes, and a bit of no.

So, maybe?

I'm confused. Clarify Seattle person. Thought it was a done deal. I'm from Connecticut though. So I know pretty much nothing.

We have a key initial investor, and a group of deep pocketed backers, who are buying up property for an arena and are ready to invest in NBA and NHL franchises. We have the city on board. What we don't have is unanimous support from the county and/or state to pony up the additional millions required to accomplish the deal. Politicos are calling for a vote before moving forward.

I hope they don't. Seattle doesn't deserve a second chance. Not enough people cared the first time around, and it's going to be the same this time. I'm more sad the Grizzlies left Vancouver I mean come on! There's no grizzlies in memphis

I really hope it works it's way out and when the deal goes through they can rip the carpet from underneath the Sacramento Kings franchise.

I hope they do because they were a 40 year long franchise. They absolutely need to be back in the league.

Bull****.

Our city was broke and couldn't afford to bend to the whims of the NBA who were demanding a new stadium when we had just pumped 12 mil into Key Arena, which is to this day a perfectly useful property, less than a decade prior.

Seattle LOVED the Sonics. The fans did everything they could to keep them.

In other words, **** you.

I still remember fondly the days of being able to watch guys like Shawn Kemp play pickup games at the Green lake courts.

Meh. I just don't believe it's a sports city. I like Seattle just as much as everyone else and I know people freak out for their Seahawks but there's just something different about it that makes it not seem so plausible.

To R-A's point. A 2 hour long documentary, made by fans, that later got picked up on national TV. Here's the 2 hours.

Thanks for Ray Allen guys. Seriously. He was a Uconn guy and Boston needed him back here to jack up 3's for the 2008 title. Set an NBA Finals record for 3's actually.

Have you ever heard Qwest Field on your television on a Sunday? It almost deafens me on my big screen. They, along with Portland, have some of the most loyal fans in the world.

Not sure if talking about the Sounders or Seahawks, lol. Oh and it's called Century Link now.

My thoughts on the 12-13 season. How many ping pong balls can the Bulls get by draft day 2013?

No no I know that, that's why I said people really do love their Seahawks. But I just don't feel like there's enough care or potential support for another major franchise. I mean do people go to Sounders games..?

They average 40,000 people a game. What you should be asking is, do people go to Mariners games? lol.

Poor Mariners, I always liked them. That's probably got a lot more to do with Ken Griffy Jr. 64 than anything else though

I'm calling it. Bulls are the 2 seed in the east come playoff time. With Rose playing in October or Rose playing in April.

I've been sick of him for years. He gets booed worse than the NHL guy. Bettman I think? Not that your guy Selig is any prize.

All I know from my personal viewing is that the Seahawk fans are animals and the casual and die hard Sonics fans made their own documentary on youtube years ago to save the franchise. That tells me they care enough. The team that just won the Finals could only be bothered to show up in the first quarter in the Finals. In the regular season or first rounds of playoffs they showed up some time late in the 3rd.

I would like to trade him to the NFL. Or maybe the MLB. Or even NASCAR.

For a pack of peanuts.
