Default News on new Rotas?

I saw a post somewhere that there were new Rotas coming. Something about Sti fitments as well. Did a search but couldn't figure out how I found it last time. Does anyone have any news on this. Will there be 18"s that fit over BBK for the WRX??

thanks for any info,
RR

We will have something out in a month that will work with STI brakes. Since the STI caliper is really big, I am sure that the Brembo Brake kits will easily clear this wheel.

Right now, only the 17 SDR will clear STI and other big brake kits

Any info on whether the 17 Action will fit the AEM big rotor upgrade in front? It's a 13.4" rotor that uses the stock caliper. Thanks.

If you send me a template. I'll check it for you.

Of hand I would say that it will fit if it uses a stock caliper

only 17 SDR will clear the big break kit? I remember reading from a thread called something like "wheel will clear big break" that 17 battle will clear too. I mean pretty much lots of rota are 17x7.5 with 48 offset if SDR can clear wouldn't the rest clear?

Wheel width and offset aren't the only variables in clearing big brakes. The problem with most of the Rota wheels (with Subaru fitment), is that the spokes will hit the caliper. The SDRs, however, have spokes with the proper curvature to avoid hitting.

based on the picture it seems that battle has even greater curve than SDR's so that should clear rite? Besides some one mentioned in that thread saying battle will clear the break kit. Well I am not trying to aruge but just want to make sure not to find out in the hard way. I am about to purchase the battle winthin a week or two so just want to make sure.

thanx

Sube-dude/ Rota Wheel WRX/ and anyone with an opinion. I just stumbled onto this thread. No one has mentioned the SubZero 17" on the STI. I will draw the conclusion, that it wont fit, from the comment that Rota Wheel WRX made about the 17"SDR is the Only Rota wheel to clear the calipers. If the spokes are the problem, could you SAFELY use a spacer?? Would you loose strength or screw up handling? Must be safe for AutoX, Track days. It may only take a very thin spacer to clear the calipers. I will check in the morning. I really hate to sell my Rotas and Falkens, but if they wont fit My STI, I guess I will have to sell em.
Any avid AutoXers have an idea, if the use of a spacer, would put you into a different class?
Thanks I.A., Jerry C

jerry,

its just me but i NEVER advise people to use spacers on their cars... unless its hubcentric spacers and is fairly think... i say max i'd recommend is 3mm.

i know it must be a pain for you but i'm sure being that you are a rota supporter and live in the bay area... and are into autox/roadracing as i am... i'm sure we can work something out for ya

see you at t-hill!

I want to know too. And if they don't fit, how much spacer would be required to run them. (no, I don't care if I run spacers!)
