I was going to go get a sandwich and it popped. I think the pinion spacer overcompressed due to aggressive on/off loads over the years. Tail of the Dragon 2 weeks ago didn't help. If there was a subsiquent misalignment, then the 9 hour drive back didn't help things either.

Ordered some paint from TouchUp Direct. Plan on finally matching the chrome trunk piece and also getting the WRX grille installed with matching trim this weekend.

Nothing to my car, but almost finished (is it ever really finished) getting my new garage organized.

Before:

After:

-Epoxy coated the floor
-Added LED lighting - previous owner had 1 60w CFL light bulb in the entire garage.
-Added fancy pegboard with slats - lots of organization options with these.
-Fill with tools

Next up is adding 1.21 jigawatts of power to feed my compressor and future welding set up. Also need to get the wife's elliptical out of there.

^ Awesome stuff!

Finally got around to installing the WRX grille to my 2.5i and threw on the mudflaps. Also stripped my Matte Gunmetal plastidip from the wheels. Haven't decided what I want to do with them yet.

Attempted to install RSB, using Whiteline Adjustable Endlinks, but for the life of me couldn't figure out the proper orientation of them.. more on that in a separate thread..

Nice lookin' garage, metros! Mine looks like a damn tornado went through it. The LED lighting is awesome - in previous houses I've used the typical double 4ft flourescent fixtures, but this time I did the LED ones. Immediately bright, even in the dead of winter, and they fill my garage quite nicely.

As for my own work, I just finished fixing what I thought was a failing ignition switch on the beater Impreza. I had replaced it earlier this year and I started to see the same symptoms in the past week or so. This time I found that the little screw that holds it in place had loosened up; put some Loctite on that and tightened it down, car seems to be happy again. We'll see how long the fix lasts. Makes me wonder if that's all it needed earlier this year, too!

Last night I changed the oil for the first time at 3k miles. Everything looks good.

Also did Diode Dynamics LED red light interior/trunk/license plate package, looks pretty good IMO. I'll take pictures tonight.

Lastly I installed the SubieBros multi function red LED fog light. I find when backing up in the driveway at night the backup camera sucks. This add on so far has helped but I think the Tail as Turn mod will change that completely.

Got into an accident thanks to a drunk driver! Awesome. Car is fine thankfully thanks to not following to close and being aware. Luckily dodged the head on collision that happened right in front of me. Stopped in time and he slid into me. Could have been worse!

We just picked up an '11 Forester for our fresh out of the gates 16 year old. Needs a little bit of work, but will be fun teaching him how to manage it all himself as I turn wrenches on it. Time to turn around the favor from when my dad did this with me.
