Question reverse and neutral switch plug colors?

I searched and could not find information on the colors of the wires and the plug colors for the gc manual transmission neutral and reverse switch. There are only four wires coming from the transmission, two for reverse, two for neutral. One plug is brown, and one is gray. When I am parked and I put the car in reverse, the reverse lights come on and turn back off when out of reverse. But my friend told me when I was leaving he saw my reverse lamps on as I was driving away. I'm not sure what to do, as I followed instructions from another site on how to wire the four wires into my auto transmission plug that goes into the car. Of course the instructions were for a legacy, but the pins in his photo and the ones in one of my manuals were the same. I could always swap the switches from one plug to another, but I still don't understand why reverse light would come on when driving If I'm in gear driving, wouldn't both switches be open?

Yeah, I'm sure that's why. The same reason no one replies to frivolous threads like "which color should I paint my wheels?" or "why to I keep wearing out clutches?" (oh wait, those are the popular ones) If anyone that looked actually cared or knew how to help, they probably would have asked what year car the transmission came out of. Regardless, I figured it out, I just hoped someone else with the same experience would have chimed in. I'm sure if my thread title would have been "check out my new wheels and aero kit on my 06sti, YO!!" I would have gotten tons of replies, some negative, some positive, but replies nonetheless. Anyways, on to the next job, cruise control.
