sam correction* I did a 13.128 at 103.41 and backed it up with a 13.161 at 102.54.........I need a new clutch...........

well...you can move me up to 13th place. I ran [email protected]. If I ever learn how to launch my car, I could probably get 12 something, but I am pretty sure I did some damage to my clutch on the last run of the night. I dont know what I did, but it sounded bad, and I sat on the rev limiter for a good 6 seconds through 2nd gear before I just said screw it, and ended up running an 18.XX something. I will send my slip to Sparky or WRXnFX when I get a chance. My mph was hella good, but my 60 ft time was 2.213 which sucks in anyones book.

I ran a [email protected] and a [email protected] on 2 gal of 104oct
KNOCKING all the way down the track. Had fun, still lots of potential in my tuning. AK2002wrx has it on tape but I'll get the slips up asap. On my street map I was trapping at 100-101mph, on the track map 105mph all day long. Mike |

I ran constant 14.8-14.9's @ 91-90 after a start of 15.3's I let Sam drive the car and he did a best of 14.5 @ 92. I had a good time today, need more practice on the launch.

Well I didn't get my 12.7, but I did run a [email protected] with a 1.750 60ft. My reaction times improved, and I was consistent with my times than the last import races. I ran 12.9's and 13.0's all day, with the one 12.8. Boost controller coming next weekend, I'll definetly run my car one last time before the season is over.
Awesome run Mike , perfect launch and the rest was perfect all the way down. -Wes Last edited by Wes_FSTGDB; 04-26-2008 at 05:48 PM. Reason: added image again |

well for me this is incredibly dissapointing, but here was the best time for the day...
havent a couple problems. One being that the diff keeps friggin slipping. Was slipping reallly bad on the last run I did so I called it a day. Gonna have it checked out just in case its not something else. For those who cant read it... Reaction- .2389 60 ft ---- 1.8998 330 ft --- 5.2901 1/8 E/T - 8.1681 1/8 MPH- 89.27 1/4 E/T - 12.6451 1/4 MPH- 111.08 This was also while it was slipping on every gear... Need to get that checked... today was a rough day.
morning i just couldn't get a handle on the new set up. ran everything from 14.20 to 13.77. the winds started dying down and blowing side to side vs headwind. I was able to manage 2 halfway decent runs, but I know the car is good for 12's if i can get my launch down. best run: +.2220 1.8999 5.4830 8.4850 83.64 13.2878 102.33 I broke the 100 mph trap speed mark i wanted, even though i didn't get my 12's. however, I am quite confident there is a 12 or two this season... just not today. |

Well figures since I now have drag strip times in a Subaru, I'll post my times.
In the Legasti... Reation --+.2481 60ft -- 2.1708 330ft -- 5.8120 1/8 ET -- 8.8458 1/8MPH -- 81.69 1/4 ET -- 13.6669 1/4MPH -- 101.32 That was my second (and last run) with 2000RPM brake launch and sport manual mode. Last edited by Mavrik; 05-14-2007 at 03:34 AM. Reason: oops |

Thanks, Ralph. I confirm that the VF39 definitely does not spool up as quickly as the 40. Lots of turbo lag, so though i tried to not launch the car, i found i absolutely had to. my worst times were in the 14's with 2.5 60 ft times! that turbo takes a while to spool up. on the 5EAT, i ended up having to torque brake to about 2800 rpms just to build enough boost. had I gone super crazy with the launch, I probably could have gotten much lower, but that would have been ONLY if the wind god allowed.
that headwind was kicking my butt all morning! from a DEAD stop, no launch, base map with main RT, in regular auto: .9888 2.5060 6.2422 9.3122 80.07 14.2050 99.36 You can see the differences (but this is also in some crazy wind!) |
