News Cheap Purolator PureONE oil filters

hey guys im not selling these but i just found this deal on pureone oil filters and wanted to share the info with fellow scic. amazon.com is selling pureone oil filters for $6.99 and up for a 2-pack. they usually go for $11+ for one. just go to http://www.pureoil.com/ProductFinder.aspx?action=AS to get your part number then go to http://www.amazon.com and paste the part number(should start with PL) in the search and enjoy the savings. free shipping on orders $25+.

the filter itself has been praised as one of the highest rated for our cars so i thought id give it a shot over oem. anyhow, enjoy every one.

They're glued together rather poorly and use cheapo cardboard.

Some autozones have cut apart mobil, purolator, and fram filters, and the fram is just a giant pile of crap compared to the others.

Also Fram had problems with their motorcycle filters where the threads were tapped wrong size and the filters came off. I would never risk my engines to aftermarket oil filters. How do you know the paper media and pressure relief valve are to OEM specs? Just to save a couple bucks?

well this is the first time ive herd people complain about them...

But when you change your oil as often as me (1.5k -/+ since i get free oil from our shop)...and NEVER once had an issue with them, and oil analysis shows your oil has been filtered properly, I didnt have a reason why to stop using them ya know what i mean??...i dont even think i leave the filter on long enough to get damaged, but ive only used them a few times so i cant really bash it since nothing has went wrong

Next oil change i'll probably get an OEM or try the ones the OP posted

I use Mobil 1 Oil filters usually, and have no problems, as long as the filter isn't ****ty quality and doesn't break, I doubt it makes any performance difference

If you want to save money you should run on of these. http://www.wefilterit.com/ Yes, it uses a roll of toilet paper.

You get what you pay for.

That's why I get the $10 Mobile1 Extended performance ones because I know when I pay out the ass, that I'm getting the better stuff.

well they have worked for you so far so just do what you feel like doing. As for me this is far from the first time I've heard horrible things about Fram so I don't mind paying a couple bucks more for peace of mind, never seen one person who was displeased with purolator otoh so easy choice for me since its just a couple bucks and it's important.
