Question Local with an OBD-II scan tool?

I'd prefer not to take the car into a dealer considering the amount of mods I have...plus the cost that will be incured just to have 'em look at it...

So does anyone in the East Bay have a scan tool I can borrow to check my CE light code? I can just cruise over...scan it, reset it, and that's it.

I tried hooking the wires up under the dash and counting the number of flashes...but it just didn't stop flashing...so I've got a relatively serious error.

Anyway...I'll give ya some cash for the scan/reset...6-pack of beer...whatever works for you.

If I could do it today I'd be stoked!

Lemmie know if any of you local freaks can help me out...

Oh yeah, car was/is running fine. I was cruising down a road at around 45 and it came on...car didn't hiccup, change, or act oddly in any way. This is my first CE light...it's a MY00 RS...and no I never took it in for the recall. :P

Slide ya FREAK!

What are you doing here? Didn't you hear that wack Legacy wagons have been banned from the board?

I'm gonna order that Palm scan tool...just waiting to hear back from them...adding it to the list of things I want to order.

I should be working...eh, screw it.

What else can I blab on about?

Got my real clear corners installed...happy about that. Still need to get motor mounts, new header, and take care of the @#$% oil pressure gauge issue. I should just order the parts for that thing now huh?

Jolt: He's out of town until tomorrow...but should be available this weekend. Damn, wanted to do this tonight...oh well.

Slide: It's supposed to be raining this weekend. Let's grab Moe and find a big phat wet parking lot to slide around in.

World: I'm at work, I'm surfing the net...and I DON'T CARE!

OK, I am probably going to order the Palm software today.

Odyss3y, I don't have a laptop...and have never tried the software before...so I have no clue how to go about doing it. I'm gonna call Mike today and possibly (hopefully) meet up with him this weekend and check out what my CE light is. Maybe all three of us could get together and set up your laptop, and check out my car.

NC,

You will get voice mail, as I'm stuck in one of MSNBC's building in Seattle until about 3:30pm then I'm legging it for a flight to Oakland.

Just leave a contact number and I'll give you a call when I get in (7:30pm)

No worries with meeting up tomorrow anytime after 1pm should be fine.

Mike

Today isn't a good day for me unfortunately...I've got a pile of crap to do at home...and Sunday I'm going to a redneck fest (American car show ).

But I did order the OBD-II software (PC and Palm) and it should be here Monday...so I'll check it out then.

Thanks for the offers though! Much appreciated.
