Default building a fuse box, what fuses for what??

i'm trying to put in a fuse box in my trunk, where it connects to various things such as alcohol injection pump and controller, along with other sorts of extra electronics so if anything happens i can trace problems down quickly. the fuse box is going be connected to a relay and that relay is going straight to the battery.

what i need to know is, how can i test which equipment needs what fuse? say gauges, what fuse what i put inline with it? how much amps do i need?

thanks

you can check the specs of the actual equipment. usually it lists the load.

other than that some others will probably chime in with a reasonable list of fuses that you would need for each individual piece of equipment.

if you dont have the specs, then buy a bunch of fuses, and put the lowest amp-rating ones first. whatever blows, replace by a higher till it it doesn't blow. After a while, all will be rated for your equipment
