Question Where to get high-wattage bulbs

been running 80/100 bulbs for as long as I can remember on all my cars. Can you tell me where I can get good ones for a REASONABLE price ($70 for PIAA Platinums is rediculous)? Last time, I made the mistake of getting a pair of Korean PIAA-wanna-be's from TSR for an inflated price (where'd TSR in Swellvue go, anyway?) that lasted a good while, but were too blue (no night-vision!).

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Thanks Gavin.
However, all I fojnd were PIAAs, PIAAs, PIAAs... And they were mostly H3's. I need H4's for the headlamps, and I don't think I wnat to pay the PIAA price (cheapie!)... Thanks for the advice, though - I'll keep them in mind.

YES, HELLA IS GREAT!!! not overpriced like piaa or catz..hella's are actually WAAAAAY BETTER than these other brands!!!
i do have the piaa superplasma H4's, they are great and now PIAA offers a 1 year warrantee on all their lights, so if a headlight burns out 9 months from now, you take it in and get a new one with a new warrantee!! thank GOD, cause i had a superplasma burn out like a month ago

I have some 90/100 Watt Xenon lights for the Subie(H-4) After they warm up they are a real nice white, they are kinda blue when you first turn them on. I have had mine in for a month or two with NO problems. I sell them for $31 shipped. They are very nice, made by APC(well known). Let me know if you would like a set. I can get H-3's as well, also any other bulb on the market.
I also sell Hella lights, I have the Yellow Stars in my fog lights, very nice. I just sold my last set on Sunday. Next sets will be here in 4 to 6 weeks.(They have to come all the way from Germany.) Gary

Thank you so much, y'all!
I will look into ALL of the avenues offered here. (who's this Susquehanna outfit? Man, they are stocked!)

I am not going back to PIAAs for bulbs again - too pricey, and like HBOC said, they are prone to burn-outs (the Platinums in my other car burt out in about a year, too).

Thanks again!

Horatio102, where is Eastside Truck Center at? (street or nearby buildings?) I'd be interested in picking up a couple of nice bright headlights...heck, probably today at lunch or something!

I'm headed over east of the mountains again tonight and I could use some nice bright headlights

[stupid question] Anyone know off the top of their head what size bulb is in the WRX?..is it the 9007? [/stupid question]

*edit* found the address, looks like it's next to that steel plant place on 124th st.

Star - Yep. Right there next to the steel place. When you see the "Window repair in 30 mins" place, turn in the next driveway (going towards Wood/Redmond). The owner is pretty cool. A bit of a red necky, but he's still cool. They don't openly laugh at me when I pull in with a Japanese car either.
The only problem is that they don't carry huge inventory. You might want to give them a quick call. Shoot. They might not carry the 9007 at all. You can also try the 4x4 shop on Willows road. They've got a lot bigger showroom and more stuff available, but I like Eastside better.

Doh! I just got back from Eastside and they didn't carry the 9007. The guy behind the counter was great, very nice and pulled down the catalog to help me look. They don't stock the 900x series lights from Hella, just the Piaa (sp?) style ones.

Thanks for the tip on the place on Willows. I'll try there since I have to head home anyways before I take off tonight.
