Default 04 USDM 6spd into 02 wrx, do i need any new crossmembers/tranny mounts?

my buddy recently did a 6 spd swap, but it was a jdm v7 install and didnt need any new mounts or crossmembers. I vaguely remember somewhere that i would need a new crossmember/tranny mount..........can anyone confirm this?

oh, random info, but the 6spd fits nicely in our trunks!

I don't think you need a new cross member. I used one that was on the usdm sti tranny, just because it came with it, but I was told they are the same between the two trannies...

just call [email protected] if you have any doubts. He did my install and a few other 6spds too.
