Yo, MP. How about email me back? I hope you guys had a great holiday.
I got the TA STI running again this weekend. What a pain with the TurboXS fuel rails. After UTCC this will be our next project. Thanks, guys. |

Had to beat my trans tunnel in also. No biggie, just wish I relized it needed to be done before I got it up in there. Had to do a similar thing when I installed my aluminum DSS drive shaft. Will have it competed and let you guys know if it works. Also a little tougher to get the trans back in. Still worth the trouble.

Beating on my tunnel to fit these is does not sound pleasurable and nor will I do it. Anymore clarification on this?

Not trolling, if you look back at the first group buy on the blast plates you'll see I was the first to purchase them. Some clearancing may be required depending on the exact dimensions of your chassis. They are all close, but you can only hold so tight of tolerances to achieve target costs and also have part interchangeability. Depending on the exact clearances with the blast plates installed and what motor/Trans mounts are in the car, it might be a good idea to so some clearancing of your own, before it does it itself. I can promise you this, you will do a much nicer job than an angry Tranny bangin up your tunnel

Thanks for following up. This is more of the information myself as well as others would be looking for.
I can honestly say these need to show up. I'm ready to get my gear box finished an get it installed. As for as what chassis have more clearance is there anymore info on this? I assume all of the 02-07 imprezas are the same. |
