can't find weight of OEM WRX wheels
I'm trying to decide between 17" and 18" P1's and I'm curious how the stock wheels compare in weight. Will I be losing much going to the 18" P1's performance-wise?

SCC uses 1lb or less/inch of diameter as the definition of a light weight wheel. What you also have to consider is that a lot more of the stock wheel's mass is nearer to the center vs. a lot of aftermarket wheels.

Well, I'm not comparing any wheels to the stock wheels because I won't have them on the car much longer regardless... I'm just trying to decide what wheels WILL be on the car.

according to this
http://www.europeanspeed.com/wheelweights.htm the P1 in 17" are 20.4 lbs so I assume the 18" are even heavier. Prodrive doesnt list the weights on their webpage, so can anybody confirm these numbers? I like the P1 design in 17" but 20lbs is getting kind of heavy. I am shooting for 15-17lbs in a 17" rim, |
