Default Revised Stage 2 Reflash now available

Hi guys,

During the past week, we've got hog-wild with Stage 2 re-mapping. Tried a few different mapping approaches that seems to work quite well. Four of the four last in-house Stage 2 WRXs, running the new baseline file, dyno'd at a repeatible 255-260 wheel hp on our dyno. Yes, this surprised even us

We just released this Stage 2 basline today. Customers running earlier Stage 2 baselines (either 91 or 93 octane) may want to send their ECU in to us for free updating. We believe this to be a worthwhile upgrade to earlier Stage 2 baselines.

Give us a ring if you want to arrange an update. Sorry, there are no core ECUs available for the swap. You will have to send your ECU in to us for the updated reflash.

Best Regards,
Shiv

I've had the stg2 reflash for a couple months now. So this is a new update? Cause i've been playing with delta dash but if you have a better update i'll do it. So you say it's free? If so if i overnight it can you overnight it back?

With this update what is the boost characteristics? Does it say hit and hold 18 until 6,000 and then drop to 16?

Shiv, why is [email protected] a black hole? I've sent numerous messages to it in the last 3 months, none of which have been responded to.

The update is completely free. The only thing that costs you is shipping both ways. Just let us know how you want it shipped. I'll post up boost and a/f ratio logs on Monday or Tuesday. Off the top of my head, boost pressure is approx 18psi up to ~5500rpm. After that, it begins to taper down gradually to approx 15psi by 6500RPM and then sharply down to 12psi by 72000RPM. Peak power is made at approx 6700rpm, IIRC. A/F ratios are in the 10.2-10.7:1 range throughout the entire run. I've made some changes in the knock correction tables to allow for easlier Delta Dash assessment and tuning as well. I think you'll find it much easier to tweak, FWIW.

jblaine- Sorry if no one has responded to you. Sometimes we do get overwhelmed with email. There's no excuse for it. I recommend giving us a call if you can.

Best Regards,
Shiv

Join the club. I emailed asking everything under the sun about my tuneup (hate it). Also am very interested in their intercooler, hoses and splitter to the tune of $1200+, do you think I would get an answer to some SIMPLE questions? nah.... (right now in the back of my mind, I am hoping accessECU can overwrite ECUtek) Plus Cobb is alot closer to home.

Off topic, but not really....maybe.

Have you guys had a chance to tune any FP18G's? If so, do you think you have a pretty good baseline map for that turbo dropped into a typical Stage 2 setup? (Up-pipe, turboback, IC hoses, STi injectors, fuel pump, and the turbo of course....switchability between a 93octane map and a race gas map would be an added plus )

We don't have much dyno time with 18G turbos so I can't comfortably provide a standard Stage 2 map that will work with that turbo without custom tuning (as was the case with wrx320 and his AVO turbo which actually failed during the dyno tune). If you want a plug-n-play solution devoid of any additional fiddling, I'd suggest going with a pre-set kit.

wrx320-- If you have any questions about your kit, please call us.

Best Regards,
Shiv

Well, I currently have a Stage 1 ECUtek using the Vishnu non-signature series TBE. I also have DeltaDash. Do you think you could get something close enough to where I could utilize DeltaDash to provide the necessary 'additional fiddling'?

If only there were an ECUtek capable tuner with an awd dyno within a day's drive........and of course Shiv's willingness to travel and have a 'dyno day' there
