Default P & L Motorsports- Very NEGATIVE!!

Ordered a chargepipe for my 2015 wrx. Money was taken, receipt was emailed. About a week goes by, I have no tracking number and no pipe. I email them asking them what's up. They respond quickly with a tracking number and offer this explanation, "we are a small shop and our welder makes these pieces on demand. You ordered late Thursday, we close on the weekend, blah blah blah".

Now I have absolutely no problem with this. The peices looked great and the weld quality appeared to very good. My issue is, my money was taken and then I was ignored until I contacted them. If you're pieces are built to order it would be nice to give the customers a heads up. Normally this would be a minor gripe, however this was just the beginning.

Package is delivered. I open it up and.....no packaging slip. No list of contents. No way for me to tell if I got all the correct parts. So I start putting it together and it becomes appearent that they sent me to of the same size coupler. What I needed was a large and a smaller one. I contacted them and let them know of the situation. They told me take pics and they'll send out another. I decided to look for my own. I find the right size reducer, says it can hold 60psi. Only problem is its rubber not silicone (more on that later) and i didn't think it would matter.

Dyno day- Bring my car to the shop on Thursday to have my mods installed with my dyno tuning being done Friday. Friday the car is off the dyno and tuner is doing a final road tune and then...the rubber fitting split in half. I call P & L on Friday and they tell me they will ship it out that day. Fine. Check my email like normal and I have mail from them. Now they tell me they're not sure which part I need and I need to contact them again. Closed weekend, call Monday and my part will be here Wednesday. Should have my car back Friday.

Problem is, I have been out of a car for a week. I realize that part of this was my own fault for thinking the other coupler would work. However, there is no excuse for all the other missteps. Upon sending out the part on Monday they basically have not contacted me, apologized, or offered any other explanation. I will never buy anything from them again.

This is why you should always check out your orders before you install them and know what you need to get the job done ahead of time. This leaves you some time to correct any mistakes before you install and schedule a tune. Sometimes things get overlooked, or mistakes get made, or things are backordered or have to be fabricated. But it sounds like they've corrected the situation by sending you the other coupler you needed.

I will say I do have a P&L street series catback and a P&L uppipe, and both are very nice quality pieces with nice welds, but yes I did have to wait a while for them to be fabricated before they were shipped.

Got the part today. Would have been nice to receive some communication. They seemed like good people on the forums, that's why I bought the chargepipe from them. Let's put it this way, their customer service didn't blow me out of the water. Nowadays, customer service and quality is usually the only thing that sets you apart from the 100s of other companies out there. I don't mind people make mistakes but I think a little more communication should have been in order, such as a personal phone call.

No doubt, and I share partial responsibility. I am definitely to blame as well. However, I'm not selling anything here, so my mistakes only cost me time. Their mistakes can cost them money, business, bad reviews, etc. I think they should have reached out in person and made sure I was happy, and everything was ok. Just my opinion.
