Make sure you hook up the power antenna wire, or you won't get jack for reception. The power antenna wire is used to power the signal booster (can't remember the exact term). You should get great reception if you have this hooked up. |

Anyway, it's the same idea - remove the screws in the armrest "cup" and behind the door latch, remove the armrest insert and unplug the connectors, carefully remove the door latch surround, and pull off the door panel, starting at the bottom. Be sure when you replace it to make sure that you've got all the pins reinstalled and aligned. |

![]() Just one question, which model of Impreza do you have, and did you use the WRX stereo harness, or the reverse one? I have a 2006 Imp 2.5I wagon, and am getting ready to install a new stereo. I have discovered there are two common subaru connecters. Im just not sure which one my car will need yet, havent torn out the old stereo to check the lines back there.

![]() I just finished soldering my Crutchfield harness to the 9856 harness and I have 2 wires left over from the 9856 harness that I don't know what to do with. One is marked REMO(TE) and the other IN INT. Any suggestions?
I also bought the XM Digital Adapter and Universal Tuner Box. Where is the best place to mount the two black boxes? |

![]() Yeah, its pretty amazing how crappy sounding the stock stereo is. I finally got around to throwing my old 9815 in this weekend. World of difference and it only takes 20 minutes.
