Dealers can cancel your existing order and put in a new one. Problem is it will be issued a new VON# and go to the back of the line nationally...

Changing the little accessories (anything but the navi) can happen with no issues on an existing order, but changing the color cannot without cancelling and starting over.

Sucks.

DGM is the sex though, and won't show the swirls and imperfections as much as black. You will be very happy with DGM. (or black for that matter if oyu don't mind the wait time increasing)

Oh, I misundestood my sales guy...sorry about the bad info on being able to change within the week. So just curios, is there a certain cutoff date for the shipment coming in Nov/Dec? If he cancels the order and puts in a new order, does he still have a chance he will receive his order in Nov/Dec time frame?

Default TPMS compatibility

Hi all

My '13 Sti base is on the way and I ordered a set of 4 S204 wheels for her. Once the car is here will put new wheels right on and sell the stock wheel+tire.

But since those S204 don't have TPMS sensors in so I decide to get some off ebay. Just wondering do I need to recalibration with the onboard computer or the system will recognize the sensors automatically?

Thanks!

How long does the boat take to get from the factory to the states on average?

Generic Advice for those who placed orders for 2013s in the past couple weeks:

Calling Subaru of America's Cutomer Service line after only 1-3 weeks after you ordered your car will get you nowhere. They will only have a "Month of XXXX" answer for you that early in the process (98% of the time). It is best to ask your dealer for status updates instead. Every time you call SoA they get concerned that you are unhappy and then contact the dealer principles to warn them that a customer has called them. It raises flags that are unneeded. Your salesman and/or the Sales Manager can check their "pipeline" report very easily and give you any new information about the status.

To my customers:

I keep up and am more anal retentive than many of the other managers/dealership personel. When my sold orders get updated with VINs and E.T.As I make sure to contact my customers within 48 business hours. Please shoot me a PM, call the store, or your salesman if you are curious if your status has been updated. My owner gets flustered when SoA calls him. He thinks customers are unhappy when they call SoA.

Thanks for your understanding. Just trying to keep the drama to a minimum for everyone.

You can use a VIN off the dealers inventory listing on their site.

Hahahaha! No worries man, it was not just you, nor was it directed just at you

Many people are excited and want details. I totally understand that. I ordered my 2006 wagon from the factory and was just as pumped as everyone here to get it.

Just wanted to help everyone understand that SoA doesn't have any valuable information during the first month an order has been active (most of the time).

You can steal a VIN# off any similar wrx/sti for insurance quotes, but I will certainly send emails to all my peeps once they get assigned to your orders.

EDIT: Here is the VIN# off a black base 4 door STi I have coming that is not sold yet:

JF1GV8J62DL004210

Use that for your quote!

Mike

I typed up the accessory price info people have been interested in.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...FlUMmljN2hOeVE

Redundant lines have been consolidated. Exmaple: Aluminum and leather shift knob is the same price for both transmissions so it's just on one line.

Also, I don't know the difference between the two subs.

I can FINALLY post in this thread! Got the ball rolling on my first ever Subaru, a 2013 satin white pearl 5-door WRX. I put $200 down so they can place the order at the open of business on Tuesday.

Details:
2013 5-door SWP WRX
SPT Exhaust
Extended Armrest
AW Mats
Cargo Tray
Wheel Locks
Bumper Cover
$200 under invoice

I was really surprised how difficult it was to get under invoice. I visited three area dealers and it was a pain just to get them down to invoice. I think they've been placing a ton of orders lately and have people that are not willing to take the extra days/weeks to negotiate low.

My associate showed me how Subarunet works and how he would check on the status of my order. He showed me an order that was placed earlier in the day (SWP 4-door) and it had an estimated delivery of December...yikes!

I know the mounting bracket is different between 4door and 5door.

I believe, but am not sure, that it is the wire harness/connector that is different between the Navi and Non-Navi cars...

Thank you for putting that spreadsheet together for the potential buyers in this thread. Sucks I had to take mine down. This was VERY cool of you to do for everyone.

All these accessory prices can also be found on Costco.com and truecar.com. Dealer cost = Invoice

This.

I would suggest using this list though, as sometimes the 3rd party guys can be off by a couple bucks here and there. Also, those websites will show you more stuff than what can be added at the port. The things like the engine/tranny mounts, bushings, etc. cannot be added at port. This means a dealership has to install it and the pricing won't match "dealer cost" because there will be labor involved to install.

Just FYI for everyone.

This list is 100% accurate.
