You seem profoundly frustrated at having made a poor purchasing decision.

More like frustrated with poor choices available to purchasers, they need to build some real cars that aren't priced in nosebleed territory, then I wouldn't have to settle for best of the worst.

Just out of curiosity, what would be the ideal car for you. What I am asking is what would be the perfect price, power, weight, and overall features that would make the realistic purchase for you.

Build me another GM vehicle with 2/4 doors, 3400-3500lbs, with an LS1 or LS3,6 speed, for mid to high $30K's. With Leather, a decent stereo, and paint that stays on the car. You know, unlike the Sherman Tank Transformer Camaro, that looks like a Mullet Mobile. I would actually take a BMW 135is if they were $8000 cheaper, which would make sense, since the BMW 1 Series M Coupe was a better vehicle in the same price range, but BMW decided to charge way too much for the 135is.

So you basically want a 2 or 4-door, 4-passenger Corvette, that only weighs 200lbs more than a regular Corvette, and costs $12-15K less than a regular Corvette. Good luck.

And when was the last time one of those were sold?

But we're not talking about LS1-powered ponycars. We're talking about your ideal car with all of those specs that you listed.

Doesn't make much difference, I said goodbye to GM for good when Pontiac got chopped, and the Camaro showed up looking so ridiculous. This from a longtime GM guy, who's favorite car of all time is a 1969 Z28/RS. Going to have to live with this WRX at least one more year, might end up with a 2014 Mustang GT Premium with the track package next, not sure yet though. I have no interest in these concept Mustangs so far, too radical a change for me.

Your fave car is a 69 z28? Out of all the cars ever, THAT's what you choose?

Even your dreams are lame...

Why? Because you went thru your teen years in the 2000's and only love Subaru's?

Like I said, already looking at trading this time next year, probably a new GT Premium with track pack unless something better shows up on the market. Not sure the econobox world is worth all the headaches.

Actually I was a teen in the late 80's...

But my point was that a "dream" car to ME is something a lot cooler than an everyman muscle car. If you were a dreamer for the 60's, You could have said GT40 and that would be an American dream. Perhaps an Aston Martin DB4 Zagato as your English dream, or a SWB Ferrari ... Not a Camaro...

None of those cars are really road cars, they are track cars, lets talk about drivers car that can actually be used on the road/track and still be good for every day commuting.

Everyone has their own "dream" cars. Your dream cars are not the same as mine.

It does not have to be unapproachable to be a dream car. Some wants their dreams to come true.

A 69 Z28 is a really cool car. You have been spending way too much time at Subaru forums lol.

This is true, the 69 camaro is an icon of american motoring and was just a stunningly beautiful car. It is disgraceful what the modern interpretation did to it. Trying to recapture that look in a bloated huge chuck of lead that the current camaro is today, tarnishes the memory of such a great looking car.

Still I have no desire to own one. Growing up I certainly did, but then I started going to car shows and realized that if you have a 69 camaro, you can spend 50 thousand dollars on it and there will be 11 just like yours at every car show in America. Now the car flippers have got a hold of them and the prices for what was every mans car are now collectory car 6 figure fodder.

On a happier note, and somewhat back to topic. I recently got to drive my buddies 2013 Boss 302. Yeah, That was one bad arse car.

Now if it only came with Leather and the other goodies from the GT Premium, but I think the GT Premium(now with more power) with the optional track pack(most of the 302's goodies) is a better option. Plus I don't want stripes or stickers on my car.

Not sure man, the 302 motor is a thing of beauty. He got his for 42k. A GT premium is right at 40 right with the track pack. That extra 2k is a no brainer if you ask me for probably the best handling Mustang ever made.

They try to pull off the retro now, but it just looks like a modern version of a retro car. I want the thing rattling and smelling of fuel at stop lights.

Give me this with an LS3:

My father in law has one of these in yellow just sitting in a "garage". I should buy it from him and drive it on weekends.

Add leather(wish the Recaros were heated), heated seats and mirrors, the grill lights, the side window louvers, side scoops, remove the stripes, and paint it Sterling Gray. Then I am on board, but too much missing and too flashy as the standard 302.

This will probably be my next car:

A 135 is not a 135is, two different animals. And I don't buy other people used and abused cars.
