Default Racecomp/GTWORX - Outstanding product and service

I haven't been on here much in recent years, but some of you may recall that back in 2009ish I was one of the GH (09) WRX test cars for the then-new Racecomp/GTWORX Bilstein Cup suspension. At the time my car had about 20-30k miles and I got a "prototype" set from the guys at RCE to test and review on the street, autocross, and track.

Anyhow, fast-forward to now. The car now has just a tad under 150,000 miles on it, and I drive it hard and on bad commuting roads. In short, I abuse the car pretty badly lol.

The original RCE Bilstein Cup setup had the old-school clear rubber "hose wrap" around the springs as isolaters (which they later changed to a black perforated rubber isolator to allow water/junk to clear from the springs (the clear tubing was solid and trapped this stuff).

At 149,000 miles (with a lot of winter/salt driving, as I work at a ski shop and hit the mountains frequently), I hit a pothole and broke one of the front springs. After checking it, it basically was super-rusty under the clear wrap and just snapped there.

Anyhow, I gave RCE a call that day and explained what happened. I was basically planning to buy a set of new front springs, but RCE, without hesitation, offered to immediately send me a full new set of springs free of charge and explained about the changes they had made to the springs to solve the problem that I had. This is the kind of customer service that few companies in the automotive world have these days, so I wanted to post up and share it with all of you so you know that RCE is a top-notch company that makes great products and STANDS BEHIND THEM.

Also I'll note that the Bilstein Cup shocks/struts after 120k+ miles of hard driving still have NO leaks and feel like new (especially now with the new springs on them and other new suspension stuff I finally replaced). My upper mounts and control arm bushings and balljoints were all pretty dead by this point, but not the shocks. This is typical Bilstein quality that is worth every cent.

So, thanks again to RCE for their great service and products. We plan to put some RCE vinyl on our stage rally car, even though it's a BMW (the WRX is my daily driver)....because RCE is that good
