Default Subispeed TR Tail lights Warranty issue - Questions

Hello Nasioc,

Looking for some opinions / suggestions.

I had pre-ordered // ordered on back order -the Subispeed TR sequential tail lights on April 20th, 2016.
The Tail lights had shipped on May 19th, 2016.

The reverse lights on my tail lights have burnt out.

I contacted Subispeed about my warranty on May 16th, and Maddy M got back to me stating that the warranty takes effect at the time of purchase. (April 20th, 2016) - "The warranty states one year from purchase date".

However on the website, it makes no mention of when the warranty period starts, as i figured it would've been from the shipping date as the lights are on back order.

I emailed Maddy back in regards to my concern, still waiting on a response in which he was quick to reply to decline the warranty, but no replies after.

My issue with this is theres no "notice" on a "pre-order" stating the warranty will start ticking at the time of purchase.
Am I just out of luck or has anyone been able to escalate a ticket in this case?

None the less, just wanted to give a warning to those that have purchased the tail lights to check the reverse lights.

Timothy,

Unfortunately there is not much i can do about this as I actually see that these were purchased over a year ago. I do understand that these were not in use until later in the year, but we are just not able to warranty those. The warranty states one year from purchase date. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Regards,

That's rough. I agree that the back order situation should be taken into consideration in regards to the warranty period but it doesn't look like the vendor feels the same way. Reverse lights burning out after a year is a bummer too. How much are those lights?

Subispeed is overrated. They just announce their sequential headlights at a price of 1300. This is what happens when you give those suckers your money.

Granted I do have their V2 taillights. The good thing about these is that they are PNP and you don't have to route a dumb wire to the fuse box. They look cool, but if they ever go out on me I wouldn't buy from them again.

I use to hate the stock tail lights, but I'm starting to appreciated them. Just throw some overlays and they'll look better and you'll still keep a better warranty with them.

Maddy got back to me, and is honoring the warranty in regards to the "backorder".

Remember to check your tail lights!
