Default Enkei gold rpf1 touch up paint 75 cent solution found!!

I wanted to make the entire community aware of what I have found so moderators forgive me if this is in the incorrect area of the forums.

I searched for hours online for an enkei gold touch up paint and came up with little to no information. I wanted to find something that was available worldwide to everyone in case you too had paint chips on your gold enkei rpf1s.

I went into a walmart and picked up some nail polish, no name brand gold markers and, gold sharpies. The no name brand gold markers are an exact match and were 75 cents for a 2 pack.

When I had my tires mounted the tire installer made a huge gouge in the lip of one of my rims. I have included before and after pictures. If I wanted it perfect I would have to sand down the gouge to get it flush with the rest of the rim and that would cause further damage. This solution worked great for me.

The markers are in the office supply section of any walmart. I have included various photos of the markers and its packaging.

Please let me know if it works for you as well.

Waiting for the "Guys, it rained" or "Guys, I drove through a puddle." post.

Hey, for 75 cents I am trying it. It does say it's permanent but we shall see. It is a perfect match though and I was in disbelief.

i have mixed cheap nail polish to get the right color for different things many times..works great...ya just gotta take time to experiment a lil and good to go.....and nail polish usually holds up pretty well if ya do a coat, rough it up a lil with a scrubbie pad and do another coat or 2

Nail polish is usually lacquer or something similar, so it should be fine.

Yeah, my first thought was nail polish but after searching about 4 stores and finding nothing that came close I just randomly grabbed some metallic permanent markers and the cheapest ones happened to be a perfect match. I wonder if enkei did the same thing when they chose that gold color like "they will never figure out what touch up paint to use on these". :-) I am sure if I really wanted to I could find a clear coat to go over the top of the small scratch I touched up with the pen but at this point it looks great so I do not care.

I thought I'd revive this thread, as I recently got some slight rash thanks to a pothole

anyways...

The packaging has changed in the last year, which made it quite difficult for me to find at first. The package now comes with one silver and one gold marker, instead of two gold ones.

Here's some pictures of what it looks like now in case anyone else was having a hard time finding them. The brand is called "case mate". Just as the OP stated, a near perfect match and a great and cheap solution to a frustrating problem. (p.s. the price also raised to a whopping 94 cents, i guess that's inflation haha)
