I drove for long time the RA-r and is a insane car, right now I don't like my setup, I'm going to project both a twinscroll adapter (I have the group N heather and uppipe brand New) or a complete new uppipe if there is no room for that. I found those flange that make everything easy. https://streetcarrfabrication.com/co...nlet-t4-flange using schedule 40 pipes and curves that will keep the 41mm ID of the manifold. Of make one adapter for a t25 and stay on a single scroll, but with the exhaust cam configuration that we have there is more benefit to stay on the twin scroll, there is one productor that make a flange twin scroll with the .64 AR for the efr that will solve many problems. By the way I would exhange my efr setup today for your vf42

I hope I don't have to make the choice to replace it anytime soon I rather like the car as it is now.

This is far too complicated for my little monkey brain to pull off

Love those JUN parts. My S14 was a mix of JUN and Do-Luck. Would love to be able to afford to use JUN parts in my 207 heads.

How's that Stormung exhaust around 70-80mph in the highway? I'm looking to change mine out and have narrowed it down to Stormung and Borla Hush

Pretty minimal drone compared to all my other exhausts

Default Gridlife Taco Track day

So it was a wonderful track day and my father brought out his NC Miata too. I am just in the mindset of going out to have fun with my dad and friends now because once your parents start to get older you really start to value your time with them more.

The car performed great and I was running slow 1:48 to 1:50 lap times on 245/40/18 Pilot Sport 4S. Slow but it was a great time and the new seat was wonderful I feel so much less fatigue from sessions now.

Towards the end of the day the original steering rack started to feel not so great and I suspect there is an inner tie rod slowly dying. Its dripping a little bit of fluid but not too bad overall. Luckily I have the PRS rack sitting in the box.

Video will come later this month

Goals for this summer are as follows
  • Install PRS quick rack
  • Install Jun bumper
  • Wrap car Jun yellow
  • Refurbish or upgrade Brembos , Possibly just better pads like PFC08 / 11
  • Possible IAG oil pan upgrade
  • Rewire Defi ZD Clubsport gauges

There is a good possibility the wrap will damage your paint job when the time comes to remove the wrap. You probably already know that but I felt like pointing out. Your car paint looks wonderful.

Yeah I am debating the options I have , generally if you prep and clean the paint correctly it will be fine.

Its a risk but my car also rarely sees rain or sun so its less likely to have issues

Default This is getting out of hand , now there are two of them !

So I did an Autox last weekend and placed 3rd in our local SM class getting a really cool pint glass from the Detroit SCCA. There will be videos about that and updates pertaining to the PRS quick rack later this summer with a full installation video.

I also picked up a second project car that I have always wanted , Its a giant BMW boat that needs some love but it is glorious.

Specs

2002 525i Touring Sport
189k miles
Lots of dash lights
No rust
Very healthy engine

Here are some pictures with more to come once I get it properly cleaned up

End goal is a V8 powered M5 Touring replica to cruise around Detroit in and scare Dodge Scat packs on my Costco trips.

Either LS3 or S62 with a full oem level of function for AC and Cruise is the long term plan.

Busy weekend of working on the BMW , did a fresh oil change , transmission top off and continued diagnosis of some odd transmission solenoid codes.

Snagged a very nice set of bugeye door cards for the Subaru that I may have reupholstered but might just run them as they are now.

Drove the Subaru around and topped off on some fresh E76 or so

Just waiting on my friend to move into his new shop then we can install the PRS rack and give everyone some feedback on it. Hoping to do that before October. I still have to edit the autox and AC videos , I should get to that this week sometime.

Do you get looks when you step out of your car at the gas station ? I donít understand if I get looks because the car and the fact Iím an old guy. My bugeye gets all types of stares, some smiling kinda faces, some clearly grumpy donít like it faces. I donít think my car is obnoxious but it definitely rumbles as Iím pulling in. I make a point of driving in as quiet and civilized as possible. Curious if you get some hate as you arrive at not car people type places. Starting to think I need a Tesla.

And congrats on the Beemer weekend work, looking forward the transformation. I like that blue.
