Default MY 06 > bugeye swap!! O_o

so some of you may know me on here, i chime in here and there, shout out to SLOW my local im starting this thread to document my bugeye SWAP! stay tuned lots of pics and impulsive add ons. some of you may have seen this progress already on instagram. @IH8VERMONT. <-- inside joke youll figure it out one day follow me!

itrade on here frequently, im always changing things so im likely always selling something recently again, as well buying and supporting the locals !.. check out my sales, im 100% honest i wouldnt sell it to you any other way, FOR ANYONE wondering because ill likely get this question a lot.. i have already hahaha, i MAY possibly be selling the 06 nose. after this swap is 100% to the T ! i will part it out as follows, head lights *pair only, fenders/hood/bumper individually or together, bumper beam and radaitor support together. passanger foglight is damaged.

so the back story, i always loved the bug eyes, never wanted to buy used one, i dont know who raped it or whored it up.. so in april of 2006 i purchased a 2006 wrx limited. from there it became my daily driver. i slowly modded it here and there... i have done every last piece on this car my self.. my work is clean. no half ass bullsh**. so ill start by throwing in a few randoms, and onto the build. currently in progress!!

so basically i woke up one day, and decided i was going to buy a jdm front clip. so i did. its and 02 front clip (well nose no dash and sh**) black projector housings w/oe ballast and leveling motors! w/all male/female connectors (excuding 1 connector ) , and jdm yellow fogs!

shout out to SERG for the pics! WBM 2012

some snapshots with my bros 2000 2.5rs we just scooped up recently!

so last week i made a full, headlamp leveling motor harness with oem switch.
heres the finished product. and ill show you how i made it! the driver headlamp didnt come with the factory male side it was missing.. so i spliced in my own, and made a full 6pin wire harness from passanger to driver headlamp and up into firewall to a 6pin oem sti headlamp level switch.

^^ Thanks!

and heres the other end of the harness, i ran it up into the dash, tapped a siwtched B+ circuit, and a seperate body ground, to power the switch and motors, the other 4 pin outs in the connector are for positions 0,1,2,3 on the switch.

awesome build, we did the exact opposite, i went from bugeye to hawkeye, quick question that switch for the leveling motors is that the bugeye switch? or the hawk eye switch? are they the same? lol
Do you happen to have the part number for that switch? my headlights came with leveling motors i just need to wire them up and having oem leveling motor switch would be awesome

love the thread! I want to do a conversion to but to the 04-05, I have a 03 with 50k miles I just got and even though the bug eye is cool, I just like the 04-05 the best.

I saw you had a roof rack, where did you get it from? and what all can it carry? This is m first trunk car (excluding my Roadrunner) that doesn't have a hatch that I can just throw my snowboards in. Thanks man!

Everyone would be better off with a bugeye swap.
